OK I did, actually Converts are even discounted:

MSRP Vettes

Those are not original MSRP's that GM came out with. As you recall, they where supposed to be priced at 56k and 58k with the performance package. Now go find one listed at that across the country, not going to happen.

^You make no sense. Doesn't matter if Chevy raised the MSRP. What matters is whether the dealership is selling it for MSRP, more, or less.

So ignore all the hype when it first came out the the car was supposed to be priced at around 50k and ended up being near 20k more?

Yea, ignore that for sure, makes no sense!

What are you talking about? Nobody said it would be 50k! It was actually priced really well and I believe they ended up increasing the price by 2k later on.

20k more? YOU'RE ADDING OPTIONS!!

Go find a Corvette priced at $51,995 the original based MSRP. The least I have found is a stripper with no options for 62k.

People with hopes to buy one around 55k or less is a pipe dream. I haven't seen one go for less then 65k personally here in my area.

8 of 9 Corvettes at one of the local Chevy dealerships are 3LT.. Obviously they greatly outnumber the base. Want the base? Order it and pay MSRP!

They aren't available, and they go well above the 51995 MSRP. Options, yea, they add up to 20k more. 8k more for the leather interior package? Ha.

So in all, so far, locally and statewide, the majority of them are going for at least $15k more then the supposed 58k with the Performance package.

Many thought they could roll up to the Chevy dealer and get one for that price, not true at all.

I was under the impression they were $62k. I still think that is a great price for what you get. I just can't jusify a two seater...

a Cobra Roadster might change her mind.

That goes for most cars like this. They aren't base models. What's your problem with that? Want the base? Go order it. Anyway, I can get 6k off of a 2014 3LT Z51 Vette. Not a bad "x plan".

It's a great deal. Unfortunately, it's more than I'd spend. My head is stuck at the 40k cap for a car so I'd be looking at a used Vette or new Mustang, Camaro, or Challenger.

No s550 yet :(
Motortrend just tested an auto Hellcat. 11.7 @ 125.
5speed GT500 went 11.5. So at least in Motortrends world the Stang gets a win.
Motortrejd does not test on a prepped dragstrip though.

This is funny...lol...

[ame]

But yeah, I think it's an awesome car and very close to the GT 500, but with a better power to weight ratio the GT 500 should be faster.

I think with these two cars, both having more power than tire, it's going to come down to which car has the best traction control system. So far, it looks like FORD...lol

From the autobytel test/review.

I couldn't figure out how to paste a link, but you can google autobytel hellcat review.

"Neither myself nor any of the SRT engineers present at Portland International were able to get within more than a second of Dodge’s advertised mid-three-second 0-60 times."

Seems they couldn't even break into the 11's until they eventually lowered the tire pressure on the rear tires. And that's the SRT engineers driving it...lol

Looks like it might come down to a drivers race between the Hellcat and the 2015 GT...lol

Power means nothing unless you can put it to the ground. That being said, I have a real hard time launching my 2013 GT and getting near the 4.4s "as tested" pace to 60mph in an A/T with standard gears (even with traction control on). Best I've done so far is 4.8.
