Let me be more specific:

1. Trap speed with 3.73 gears, 27.7" tires(stock PP), 7,000rpm redline: 117mph.
2. Trap speed with 3.55 gears, 27.7" tires(stock PP), 7,000rpm redline: 123mph
3. Trap speed with 3.73 gears, 28"(275/60/15 MT drag radials)tires, 7,500rpm redline: 127mph

Your point is understood, but your example exaggerates the differences a bit. Upping the red line is by far the biggest factor in that final scenario. Without upping the red line, which I think many people would be hesitant to do anyway, the difference between a 27.7" tire and a 28" tire is just a little over 1 MPH.

Tweaking trap speeds/RPM with tire diameter is really fine tuning thing for sure, and in most cases IMO it is not going to be a viable alternative to actually changing the gears in order to accommodate a significantly increased power threshold.

What if you just plan to use your new 2015 Mustang V6 Convertible as a daily driver? Will the Vehicle be able to make it up a hill with the Stock 3:15 Rear Axle gear ratio? Oh, I almost forgot, there are no Hills is Florida.

Yes, it will be able to go up the steepest hills on Florida, but possibly only in 1st gear. :shocked:

Granted I don't live in Florida, but I've never, ever, seen a pack of traffic doing 90 mph. Not only that, but I'm pretty sure I've never looked down at my speedo to realize I'm doing 90. If I'm doing 90, I realize it, and I'm doing it on purpose. Except on the bike of course - that gets crazy fast in no time. ;-)

I can say that I've been surprised at how quickly a car can get to those speeds and more during acceleration tests, but it's typically in cars that can pull on your bike.

He isn't exaggerating at all. It's like that all the time down here. I see it a lot on I-4 and I-95.

Lol, First let me bold something for you really quick. and I'll repeat generalization.

Second, none of those cars have as small of a turbo as the GTI. Without being a twin scroll, with the stock tune it really feels like there is almost no turbo lag, that's how small the damn thing is. The K03 in this thing is tiny. And i've already mentioned the fact I expect the EB to have a larger turbo so it probably won't be an issue. Not all turbo cars are the same man, sorry if you thought I was coming off defensive.

With the stock tune, peak tq is reached by 1800 rpms. Somewhere in this thread i've described the tq with the tune on. With the tune it meets or exceeds stock levels by 1800. don't know exactly, didn't have it dyno'd with the stock tune.

Lol, have you drove around DC or Baltimore? haha Not all traffic drives that fast but groups do regularly. yea and no kidding on the bike, triple digits are super easy to do, but really it's also pretty easy to tell your going Fast lol

If You're doing 70 you're going to get passed by 75% of the People, Like You're Standing Still.
