We recently did a 2018 manifold install on our Employees 2016 GT supporting a Vortech v3. We did the install and we decided it was best to delete the IMRC's since we keep seeing people having problems with them not working correctly. Vacuum lines were kind of tricky since we deleted the IMRC's but after some brain storming and help from some fellow members we got it all connected and working. Before the Manifold install The car made 742 HP and 599 Tq with the IMRC's active on 16.42 Pounds of boost. After the 2018 manifold the car made 793 HP and 601 Tq with the IMRC's deleted on 12.90 pounds of boost. The car was tuned dyno tuned by ken over at palm beach dyno (A+++ on tuning, car feels great). He has a video On the Palm beach dyno's Facebook explaining the gains and why the boost dropped. Its worth checking out. For a $300 manifold, I think its its a no brainer.

Vehicle mods:
Vortech V3 on a 3.48 pulley
Stainless Power Headers
2018 mani imrc delete
Return style fuel system on E85

Would like to see a back to back run vs a boss. I bet the boss is better up top but the 18 is better mid.

50hp gain at the top for a stock intake is pretty damn good though ;)

So you gained 50hp and lost 3lbs of boost?

Boost is a measure of restriction, typically if your boost goes down its for one of two reasons either a. belt slip b. you've made your engine more efficient in some way to where it flows better.

Ken @PBD explained this in the video he posted regarding this very vehicle.

I understand it’s a measure of restriction. Just didn’t realize the 18 mani’s flow that much better.

Was this STD or SAE. I have a similar setup with a paxton and stock intake. I just put my 2018 intake on.

The dyno posted is STD, however I think ken @ pbd mentioned 770 SAE iirc...
