The pros of intercooler and piping are lower IATs and increased CFM into the engine. Cons would be cost and additional weight.Well damn, we know which one of those options is quicker and cheaper yet it introduces another variable……tough choice
Iat gains 90deg over ambient, start was 109 and thru the trap was 199. Couple things to note is that I had the front inlet off which is why the IAT at start was 109. I was pulling in engine bay air. The front inlet went installed will pull just a few degrees over ambient, which yesterday was around 60°. I was trying to prove if the inlet was a restriction itself. If the inlet was installed I would assume IAT through the trap would have been in the 180 range. The ECU was definitely pulling some timing due to the high IAT. It looks to be pulling 4° at about the 1100 ft mark. So there is a lot to gain with lower temps obviously.I’m with you on that one my friend
Curious, what are you iat’s and how much above ambient temperature are they?
These issues are very indicative of a maxed out intercooler. I don't really care to run a water to air set up on the street so that is out.I’m with you on that one my friend

The F1A 94 makes a lot of heat when it's turned all the way up, and running the stage 2 intercooler. Say if I put an intercooler on there that would maintain 150° through the stripe, the gain as you said would be very minimal. But that would just be for the added air density, I think the bigger issue is the restriction of airflow.Oh for sure, the f1a94’s do seem to make some extra heat. On the limited car we ran the same blower and saw ~30* over ambient with a/a setup….shortly there after we ran a Shearer a/w setup and didn’t gain a whole hell of a lot et wise if that makes you feel better lol. Not knocking his intakes by any means, it just didn’t help an already close to optimized e85 combo. That was with 60-70* iat’s with the a/w setup.
Were you running 1/8 mi or quarter mile with this car?Oh for sure, the f1a94’s do seem to make some extra heat. Current piping is 3.5 in. My IATs are low in the 8th mile, that's not a problem. I'm about 83k as well. What is the current piping size? We ran 4” all the way and we’re spinning the blower ~83k
This was 1/8th
How much do you guys think A Dry Nitrous would cool off the IAT,Current piping is 3.5 in. My IATs are low in the 8th mile, that's not a problem. I'm about 83k as well.
Thats a good questionHow much do you guys think A Dry Nitrous would cool off the IAT,
