The stock engine and P1SC has really performed beyond expectation and has ran a best of 9.01 at 150. With the engine at capacity, it's time to move to a more robust setup and turn it up a bit. Still on e85, tuned by PBD and fully representing the Procharger fam!. New combo is as follows.

Shortblock:
Sleeved Predator block (2020 Gt500) 3.700 bore
Boss crank, double keyed
Molnar power adder rods
Manley pistons w/pin upgrade
Main and head studs
Ford Racing billet OPG
MMR crank sprocket
12:1 CR

Induction:
Gen 2 heads, CNC ported
Ferrea valves
PAC springs and titanium retainers
Comp stage 2 blower cams
Ported 18 intake
Procharger D1x, later changed to f1a94

Exhaust:
2in ARH headers
3in MBRP race

Drivetrain:
Built 6r80
Circle D converter
Dss axles
Gforce driveshaft

First up, out with the old!!!

Big thanks to @LevittownFordParts for setting me up with a 2020 Predator block. BES will install the sleeves, balance the rotating assy and assemble the shortblock. BES will also do all the cylinder head work on my gen2 heads. CNC porting, new valve guides and seats, Ferrea valves PAC springs and Ti retainers. I will take care of heads/cams install and timing.

Initially I planned to use this block without sleeves. Ultimately the piston to bore clearance was too tight for my application hence the need for sleeves. The liner is said to have a .003 thickness and honing is not advisable.

So, if you plan to run a PTWA block without sleeves on your build have your machine shop map out the bore diameters. Then order the pistons to achieve the wall clearance you need.

Off to BES for assembly!!! The venerable p1sc getting shipped out in favor of a D1x upgrade. Maybe @ProChargerTECH can put some extra sauce on it haha.

While I'm waiting, the 6r80 was freshened up with new Exedy clutches. Trans already had a TCS intermediate shaft that was reused. The planetary had a ton of wear, so it was swapped out for a new OEM unit. All buttoned up and ready to go.

I installed Boundary oil pump gears in the original engine at 17k miles, now has 30k miles. I planned to reuse them in new engine but upon inspection, that's a no go. #1 engine bearing, crank snout and keyway looked perfect. ATI balancer hub fitment was on point as well. The Boundary gears didn't fare as well as the aforementioned components. I'm not a machinist, but in my opinion the finish when new appeared poor. It also seems as if the material was soft as it looked to be galling. Anyhow, everything looked perfect aside from these gears upon tear down, draw your own conclusions. Tip to tip max clearance on paperwork says .002, when pulled out mine were .007.

Awesome build.

Those old opg looked interesting. Can’t imagine what would cause that.

I spun the engine hard, like 8200. Maybe there was a manufacturing issue? Who knows. Im not claiming it under their warranty mainly because in the event of the highly unlikely scenario that they find it to be their fault, I don't want another set. Even for free.
