One done, 7 more to go. As you can see, im installing the Predator connector's on the coil side of the MSD 2 step wiring harness. In the event i remove the MSD id have to move the Predator connector's onto the oem harness. Note coil size difference. Also the Predator coil set of 8 is 10.4oz LIGHTER than the late gen2 coils!!!!

Hmm, I grabbed my 2018 coils and these look just like them. Even the plug shape looks like it's the same. I wonder how much difference there is from the Gen 2, Gen 3, and Predator coils.

Looks like they wont work on gen3 then. Based on the pic provided, it looks like they will plug in tho.

...but also based on above I thought it would be plug and play with later Gen 2 motors .

Swing and a miss! There were not plug and play on my car, which is a late 2016.

It's bc of the DI pump being in the way. Gen 3s have one cylinder that isn't COP.

Well i started the car with the Predator coils and it ran like absolute shit. Checked over all the connectors, swapped coils around and same thing. Bypassed MSD wiring and installed oem coils, ran perfect. Put Predator connector's on oem harness and it runs perfect.

Oem coils are .8 ohms. The Predator coils are .5 ohms. The MSD 2 step does not work with the lower resistance Predator coils. Ill use the 2step on the coupe and just run the RPMs up manually with the pedal on the transbrake.....
