autos are faster but people don’t peak inside of cabins at car shows looking for PRNDL LOL
I was at a park the other day and a 9 or 10 year old boy said nice car, then he asked if it was a stick....... I saw the look of disappointment in his face when I told him it was auto.

The original version of the self contained Clutch Tamer seems to be much easier to adjust than their advanced Hitmaster version which requires wiring and custom length hydraulic lines.

The Hitmaster is the system that I installed on my car and it has been quite the task to get it dialed in properly. Many people have suggested that I remove it, as it has proven to be difficult to sixty-foot the car with it. However, I am 100% certain that the Hitmaster has saved my drivetrain from eating itself for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Having said that, it will stay on the car.

From what I have seen over the years, especially with the 10R80 on the dyno, is that the autos put a lot less power down to the wheels than the manuals...?

I wouldn't say " a lot less"

Even still that just goes to show how much better the gearing and faster shifting is with the auto. Traps higher and ET's lower.

I just bought a new S650 this week with the 10 speed auto, variable exhaust, and Brembo brakes. It replaced my stock 2008 Shelby GT500. Although it was a Shelby, my new GT is just so much better and I honestly believe it would outrun the Shelby!!
The transmission is unbelievable. Using the paddle shifters the transmission has no problem snapping your neck.
I'm happy the power and drive is so good now. Have you tried using the touchscreen to change the fan speed on that weenie control without driving off the road? I rented a S650 and it was a bitch to keep eyes on the road and control the A/C. maybe bad fingers?
I feel it's a great Mustang but poor interior control execution.

It would be interesting to see if the gap is closed between an A10 and a 6 speed manual with No Lift Shifting (taking the clutch out of the equation during shifts).
Very doubtful. Untuned 10 speeds give me a run for my money. They have 4 more gears to allow them to stay in the power band and the torque multiplication factor of the torque converter.

Speaking of racing, how did you do at the track over the weekend? Any timeslips and videos to share with us?

I turn 41 this week. (do with that what you want) I am not shocked that auto's got better over time i am more shocked at the hatred towards manual transmission grow/switch. In HS/College if i ribbed you a little bit for driving an automatic sports car people went "i know i know....."

now its like a joke that lands flat. younger car enthusiasts look at me confused like "uhhh why is an auto funny? Why do you think its lame?" its like the tables have turned. )=

its driving experience over .3 seconds quicker for me.

But then i almost cant blame them cause they have no access to a manual transmission car to experience it. chicken/egg

have seen videos of races between new gt mustangs. the 10 speed beats the 6 speed from a standing start, ok, but from a roll at 30 mph the 10 sp easily pulls away from the 6 sp, why, did ford take some hp from the 6 sp.

Ron
The six speed auto is more dependable though

At wide-open throttle, what gear will you be in when you get to 80 miles an hour with an A-10?
For the 2021 model year (not sure if anything changed since then) red line in 3rd would give you about 89 mph.

I'm actually amazed people on here are still arguing over this. A manual is incredible to drive and feel, but it cannot be compared to the 10 speed, in any way. You compare a stock 18+ GT 6 speed vs a 10 speed GT it'll win in EVERY scenario. That should be the end of the discussion. Sure you can tune a 6 speed to beat a 10 speed but you're changing the playing field. Money for money every time the 10 speed will win.
