10 speed vs. 6 speed

You'll get there man, the GT A10 definitely overheats once you start really pushing it.

Nope I haul ass. Like I said I’ve been racing for 15 years. People just don’t understand you don’t have to be in the lowest gear all the time with these cars. Just upshift one gear and it stays remarkably cool. I also don’t race in 85+ degree weather, so the ambient helps a lot.

I always wondered if the heat could be managed with technique, sounds like you've got it down. How does the Mustang compare to other cars you've tracked?

Both are remedied with dedicated coolers on the Mach 1.

I just bought a new S650 this week with the 10 speed auto, variable exhaust, and Brembo brakes. It replaced my stock 2008 Shelby GT500. Although it was a Shelby, my new GT is just so much better and I honestly believe it would outrun the Shelby!!
The transmission is unbelievable. Using the paddle shifters the transmission has no problem snapping your neck.

I sold a 2013 gt500 and have a 10 speed gen 3 coyote would never look back.

I’ve really enjoyed it to be honest. Out of the box the brakes needed a lot of work, same with the suspension. I threw larger tires and lighter wheels and it really helped!

I find it most similar to a 2019 M4, similar power, a little heavier, but the stang is very predictable which allows me to really push its limits! This car doesn’t jerk it’s very linear!

With any auto trans that's gonna get the snot kicked outta it, two mods are a MUST. Deep pan, at least double in capacity, and the biggest baddest trans cooler you can afford.

Auto. No dip in shifting to next gear since power stays on longer, 4 more gears so rpm range stays pretty constant and higher, banging through gears WOT.

Autos have come a long way in the last ten years. And manuals, well…. they’ve kinda gotten worse since then. Not all but most.

So true and i love autos because of this but how fucking cool is it that you can buy the Blackwing with a manual haha.

The 6 speed didn't get any power taken away. That's just the greatest transmission ever made, the 10R80 doing its thing. That's what I hear anyways (my poverty package two was manual only). Can't wait for the 20 speed to drop
