Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

Did you have all three of the requirements for the Florida Lemon Law ?
For me to qualify I think they will have to get the car back 2 more times for this issue and the car might be over 2 years old by then
Yeah, I met the criteria in spades - < 1 yr old, 1300 miles, 6+ attempted repairs, 80+ days out of service. Ford never even bothered with the arbitration hearing, scheduled it, then cancelled it a week before the date & started the buy-back process.

Auto.

I was thinking that this mirror movement was odd and then found this amazing thread. Wish I'd found this thread BEFORE buying the car!

Friend of mine has a 09 GT and also has drive shaft vibrations.

My '15 V6 auto had the rearview mirror shake from day 1 (188 miles on the odo). They were not able to fix it and I did not press further on that. Sadly, that is a "feature" of all S550s.

I will say I just enjoyed a great driving day around Helen GA and all the great winding mountain roads. The only time I really noticed the driveline vibration was when cruising down the freeway on a smooth road. Otherwise it kinda gets lost in the road noise and bumps.

I'll be taking the GT in for an oil change in the next couple of weeks and I'll have them check the "vibration I feel in my seat" and see what comes of it.

Question: I understand through reading this thread that pinon angle is important. How much is this changed by loading up the vehicle with a passenger and luggage?

Good question , I had always thought my vibration seemed less with a full tank of gas

The diff is mounted to the body so the pinion angle won't change, just the angles of the axles.

So, if there's any increased noise or vibration with a "load" it could be related to the axles in this situation?

The yellow dots on the drive shaft, are they on the transmission or differential end?

Ok, finally crawled under my GT and see this. Are these marks far enough wrong to cause a vibration?

The dots aren't lined up because there's only 6 positions the DS can have in the yoke. The factory got it as close as possible. You might try to reclock it one bolt hole over - you still won't be perfectly lined up, but might make it better.
