Dave has single adjustable fronts. Dick, Chris, and I did doubles. I had my front compression up but not sure how that looks versus the low speed compression curve on the singles so maybe a wash. Only typing this in case someone reads this later and wonders.

That is very likely. This past weekend the I tickled the rev limiter even on the smaller lot, data showed 60mph (gps DL1) so apparently if you get a run you can coast past the mathematical limit. Courses vary.....the need for 3rd gear will, too.

Hope to see you at RT66, we'll be there for the last three events.

RE: Feighners car, I only overhead conversation at CAM east between Dave and Strano about doing something on the front, I assumed that meant actually getting struts on there......
I ran my car 4 events so far,...3 events I had to go to 3rd twice, and the other event I hit the limiter 2 times, but not worth 3rd.

IMO -- especially for east coast guys heading to Toledo or Wilmington for Tours/Pros, the likelihood of a course going over 60 is fairly high. Maybe not 70 but with the size of the sites and general mindset, speeds are going to challenge the limitation currently in place. Just saying that dragging the limiter is not going to be the answer.

no different on the west coast. i went to 3rd 3x @ the crows landing pro in 2014 in an FS S197 (3.31, 68mph in 2nd). most years, no matter what other car i've been in, regardless of gearing (DS ITR, BS GXP, SS Elise) NT courses @ SD/el toro/crows need 3rd gear too. with the short gearing of the S550, i think these are the courses that are most beneficial, because the shift is a given.

My M3 gets right at 69 at top of 2nd and that perfectly suits the upper limits of most courses (not the Wilmington Tour in August) as a result of the 8300 rpm rev limit.

Yes, that's Lee that talked to me. I am a little worried for a case when something happens. I guess will find out details on how they're exactly do it insurance-wise (and if they get me a replacement since this one is my daily driver), if not I am somewhat sure there will be plenty of OH folks willing to do it.
Did you end up going through with this?
