So I am going to run my car the way it is the rest of the season and only work on the nut behind the wheel and learning more about my car. I have a 2014 1/LE that I have been trying my best to match or beat but have only come close. So I figured once I become a better driver and lose some bad habits I would get new wheels and tires. I wanna run a set of forgestars with pilot super sport tires. Part of me being frugal wants to get 20Ă—10.5's but to stay legal I can only use a 9"wide wheel which I feel limits me to a 265 or 275 wide tire width. What would you guys do? It's beenough hard for me getting used to the loosness of the driveline with an auto compared to the no slack feel of a standard. Also wondering if you guys have hit 1G yet autocrossing on stock tires.

For tires- 275 width re71r would be best. From what ive read the dunlop star spec lasts longer. Michelin PSS are great street tires that can do pretty well at autox but will definitely be a bit slower than the top autox tires.

As for the accelerometer- the highest on street tires for me is 1.11g (stock PP crap pirelli's) cornering and the same braking. Hasnt changed since my second autox with the car.
