In terms of the M5 awd with 617 hp in FS, I don't see it classed there but could easily see it classed in FS as it is 4300#. While it can accelerate very fast, autocross is more about tire to weight ratios which it takes a huge bite on. Despite that, I'd guess it will land in BS as it still...
I no longer have a dog in the fight but this chorus to move the ZCP M3 out of FS is going to fall on deaf ears. It can't happen in 2020, and by 2021, there will other cars moved in. Better plan for the PP2 and possibly the 1LE coming to FS in the next year or so along with possibly the F80/F82...
Mild understatement. I was the guy .2 behind you. The M3 who nipped you out was Jeff Cashmore, 2 time FS champ and runner up this year. Very nice driving.
IMO -- he'd be better off de-moding his car and go back to DS, and learn how to drive the car within it's capabilities than going further. I see this as a path to some real frustration if you land in STP, CAMC or further. Get some real tires and work on the nut behind the wheel. If this...
I think Apex and the supporting vendors all have the same price for their wheels, probably by contract. The time to get them is when they do a group buy with graduated price reductions and free shipping depending on participation.
Eric and Boardkat may both disagree with higher RPM's via a tune. Personally, I'd just practice going to 3rd under load and not mess with higher rpm, however on the STP front, I just don't see anyone regionally in this area.
There is FS competition in the area of Indy but no STP, I mean none for several states. You want to build for index competition, go ahead but don't expect to run across another STP car unless rules really change here in the next two months.
For comparison sake, in drying but not dry conditions (think latter half of CS which I was listening to right before reporting for EVO), I ran 6 runs and consistently was 38.0-38.1 clean. I parked the car after 35 minutes. About 45 minutes later (much dryer), Courtney was running high 37's...

We'll definitely find out in a few weeks. I've got a set of 275/35-18 square on staggered 18x9/18x10, and 265/35-18 and 285/30-18's on another set. I'll be brining the rears of the second set to decide gearing choices in Lincoln after course walk.
If I were giving advice, I'd say pay the premium for an SA2015. Reason is Optima, Goodguys, and other groups who have events which offer both autocross but also track, require an SA certification and want it new as possible. While they will accept a SA 2010, the premium you pay for a 2015 will...
If that's on a 9" wheel, I'm not buying it. The section width of a 275 on a 9.5" wheel versus a 285 on a 10" wheel is just .3". There is no way a 9" wheel is going to stretch that tire any wider. On the rear 9.5" wheel, it may have marginal benefit but not with the gearing of the Stang. What...
If I had a Mustang, I'd be all over his parts in a NY minute. Every time he's either sold cars or sold parts, the price and quality of units is unapproachable. Please, for your sake, talk to Eric and get a deal while there is one to have. I'm sorry to see Eric move on since it was cool to see...
Better catch that soon as I predict his car will be for sale in less than three months. In fact, if you have a friend who is jonesin' for green Stang, I'd put him in touch since he tends to sell his cars fairly reasonably priced.
