Ordered new jacking rails from ZL1 Add-ons. Their rails are 6061 aluminum, so super lightweight and won’t rust. My Steeda rails work just fine, but they are rusting pretty bad, to the point when it rains or when snow melts off the car, they drip rusty water on my garage floor. I’ve also noticed some rusty water drip spots towards the rear where my IRS braces are.
I understand our winters here are harsh and road salt wreaks havoc on steel, but my IRS braces have only been on the car a couple years (and I sprayed them with Rustoleum before installing to help prevent rusting) and the fact they’re rusting already is disappointing. I’ll be putting my summer wheels on next week, so I’ll do a closer inspection of the braces when I have the car in the air.
Oh yeah, new summer tires get installed this coming Friday morning. Went with the Conti ECS02, excited to compare them with the OG ECS, which is what I currently have
