  1. For a daily driver with plans to track it, GT350 or GT?

I am also debating the same question. For me, the GT probably makes more sense as it will be my DD. I would probably take it to the track to experience it once this summer and do a few AutoXs but mainly it would be a DD. I have been building Factory Five Shelby Daytona Coupe with a Coyote and...
  2. Texas 2018 Lead Foot GT350

Does the car still have a clean title still or does it have a rebuilt from salvage title?
  3. Performance Pack 1 price increase?

That is just the ring and pinion set for a 3.73 ratio but you are right, they now have the Torsen available again. Part number M-4204-MT. That is good to see. I really don't want to pull the pumpkin back out of my kit but it is the only used part. Ugh. I'm doing it on jack stands and it...
  4. Should I?

Come on now, the Coyote is much larger then the LS. You don't see Coyotes in corvettes because it won't really fit, not because its not a good idea. Well... okay there are multiple reasons you don't see Corvettes with coyote swaps.
  5. Performance Pack 1 price increase?

Ford won't sell you a new 3.73 separately. They did in the past but stopped to force people to buy the package. It is the only used part I am using on my build and it is because Ford wants to milk as much profit as possible out the Mustangs and nothing is better then expensive option packages...
  6. Should I?

Wait at least until you can get exactly what you want without paying over MSRP. Probably be good to wait until next model year too. Just don't be one of the fools who pays way over sticker so they can have one a few months earlier.
  7. Performance Pack 1 price increase?

Yup, went up $1,200 and there were no changes as far as I am aware. Kind of sucks, I don't really feel it is worth $5K. I think they are trying to direct people to the PP2.
  8. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

And 301A. As far as I can tell the lowest MSRP possible with MR is $45,575 which is a base GT with no options but PP2 and 301A. If you go base GT with PP1, 301A, and MR, you are just at $45,965 I think.
  9. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

I also really enjoy the process of thinking of thinking about what car to buy and researching my options. Being stuck at home just means all of you have to deal with my ramblings about them.
  10. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

Yeah, while my wife would prefer a new car, I am not set on that but I am going to respect her wishes and check them out. The C7 would be used in my budget for sure, and as you pointed out, my budget is a constraint. The only Corvettes I have ever ridden in was a modded C5 Z06 and a C6 Z06, so...
  11. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

Yeah, absolutely something to consider and I was looking at that too. From what I can tell, the new WRX has been pushed back to a mid 2021 release and they think the new STI may not be out until 2022 as a result. There is also discussion that they might skip the 2021 model year completely for...
  12. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

With the price I am looking at raising to the level is has, my wife has asked for me to go drive some other new cars in the same price range. She would prefer I go new considering it is a performance car and she does not want to buy something someone else abused and then abandoned. I...
  13. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

Yeah, I have looked at optioning a new GT. Looks like if I want to do that, I should join the Mustang club so I can get the special pricing. Sorry, I already forgot what that program is called. I asked two dealers about ordering and one told me it would be 2-3 months and the other told me I...
  14. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

Yeah, finding a MR is going to be tricky. Like you have said, they tend to be pretty highly optioned and expensive as a result. Also, there don't seem to be a ton of them. I think that is what I want though. Im now thinking that with COVID in swing early this year dealers were cautious and...
  15. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

The plan today was to go test drive two manual GTs, one with the performance package and one without. Found a dealer about 50 miles away with both listed online, so I drove down there after 3 emails to confirm they had the cars there for me to test drive. Sure enough, after driving all the way...
  16. 18 GT vs modded Jag XF?

I have no idea what those things modded can run but I'm pretty sure the real winner is going to be his mechanic.
  17. Sold my baby, need consoling - did I get a good deal?

I often like to buy cars that are a couple years old to save myself money, but the math sucks on late model GTs now. I'm in the market and have also reached the conclusion that I am better off buying new right now then a used. Not a lot of used vehicles on the market right now and the prices...
  18. Time for DP

I am considering a EB Mustang that has a full exhaust system on it which I would need to return to stock to pass emissions. In the past when I have done downpipes, they have always been a PITA without much room to work and seized bolts that are as likely sheer as loosen up. However, the EB...
  19. Ecoboost HPP versus Altima VC Turbo

Yeah, but can he pull a space shuttle with his 911? You know, cause I have a lot planned for next summer when I'm able to do stuff again..
  20. 2018 Mustang vs. Nissan Leaf

Thanks, I knew there were updates in 2018 but I did not know they updated it again for 2019. I am thinking the active rev matching would be nice but I have never driven a car with that before. Does it work well or just get in the way?
