Highly recommend an OPG upgrade. Dug into mine today:

I know we basically knew this but, it’s still disappointing. The OPG is def not up to par. I’m prob not driving mine again until it’s out. Should be within the next 2-3 weeks.

These pics are disturbing to me. My oil pressure is easily 125 - 130 cold which puts serious pressure on these gears. All that to say, good oil pressure doesn’t matter when chunks of metal are rolling around inside.

In the same boat. I knew they were a weak link, but this still caught me off guard. Happy to have caught it early!

Amen to this. Is everyone’s oil pressure fairly consistent once warm? Once at operating temps idle around 25-30. Running motorcraft oil.

That is truly scary. Makes me wonder what mine looks like!

Following. Less info from the GT350 crowd on OPGs. First time I've heard of this on an N/A motor.

Here's a couple of the few pics I was able to scrounge up from the FB groups for comparison. Owner had 14k miles. 9k with a whipple. Some minor scoring and looks like one chip:

Well all the parts will be here this week so it looks like this weekend will be the start of the work, hopefully. I'll take some good pics of the process since there isn't a lot of info here in the forum for our cars specifically.

I got all the way to right before you put it all back together. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions! Happy to jump on the phone with you

for those that didn't drop the pan fully, did yall use a new gasket and sealant or just bolted it back up?

Reused my gasket since I only had 2k miles or so on it. I used silicone in the recommended spots front and back.
