I have a JLT. Chose them because they are local. Excellent product. I also have Steeda products. The excellent as well. That is why we have the option to choose.

@Kashawy nice speaking with you, working on what we talked about as we speak. You'll notice there are many happy Steeda customers on here :)
This. David is super awesome to work with. I had a Steeda CAI on my 2011 for 3 years and it was awesome. Just bought the same for my '16. You can't beat Steeda's quality and appearance.

What do you plan to do with the car? Just drive? road course? drag race? If drag race, stick with stock intake.

Why do you say that? 25-30whp with a tune and CAI sounds like it'll be very useful in a drag or roll race.

I'm in the same situation as you OP. I was leaning towards JLT, but it seems that Steeda is squeezing out a few more ponies on the Dyno. If you saw the other thread with the Houston S550 Dyno session, the top two N/A cars were both running Steeda CAI's with nGauges.

The 25-30 horespower will come with the tune, not the CAI. A CAI at the dragstrip will hurt not help since your iat's will rise through the roof. That has already been proven.

Both of those car's also had longtube headers judging by the notes on the vehicles.

^^ This.

I tested my Steeda cold air at the dragstrip. I DID use the No-Tune version.. so no tune. I gained Zero power over the stock intake, the IATs stayed higher for a longer period of time during car cooldown in the pits, the IATs climbed quicker while in the staging lanes(did not idle in lanes). I also need to say this is not limited to Steeda. This is for ALL the CAIs above.
I brought my stock intake with me the 2nd trip to the track to prove no gains with the Steeda. I ran with the Steeda intake, and swapped to the stock intake during cooldown. My theory proved accurate as I gained ZERO MPH(actually slightly faster with the stock intake), meaning no hp increase. People can dyno all they want, with the hood open, pulling cool fresh air directly into the filter. Close the hood during a dyno pull and see the horsepower drop(proven again).
Most, if not all of your gains power wise with a CAI will be with the tune. And guess what? You get those gains with the stock intake also. ;)

If I were using the same intake at a road course, I can see it being beneficial, as the car is in constant motion. Also if you do the car show circuit, it will be "pretty". Other than that, IMO, until you have high enough horsepower to NEED a larger intake tube(certainly not NA), then spend the money on items that will give actual results.

I'm not really concerned about small HP difference, it's more about having a quality product that fits and works well without giving me any headaches later.

I know all 3 intakes I'm debating between are very high quality, so it comes down to customer service, owners reviews and feedback, and most importantly they should be able to ship worldwide since I'm not located in the US.

I don't quite understand what you're saying. How can all these companies claim HP and Torque gain with or without a tune, and you're saying it doesn't work?
And even if it was the tune, how can the gains be the same with the stock intake as an aftermarket, more expensive intake. That way, why would anyone want to buy an aftermarket CAI if their stock intake will function the same way.
Also, I thought a CAI is one of the most famous N/A mods. I could be wrong, I'm still learning about all of this, but to me it doesn't make sense.

Btw, since you asked earlier, I will not be using my car to drag race, it's my daily drive, and I just wanted to pump the power up a bit to make it more fun.

you'll have to read the steeda thread couple of threads down, find where he posted that and the rebuttal responses to it to understand. the steeda does have power increase without a tune, members have dyno'd and proved it such as Evolvd has. roush has gains without tune as well.

Maybe to sell their product?

Maybe because they believe all they read on Internet? Remember when the Gibson cat back was suppose to give 25hp? It's the same thing.

Also, I thought a CAI is one of the most famous N/A mods. I could be wrong, I'm still learning about all of this, but to me it doesn't make sense.

I test the JLT the same way than poppacapp at the drag strip. I have the same result (quicker with the stock air box vs the JLT).

Now, just to make sure, I order the Steeda intake (good deal on there 12 days of Steeda savings). Plus I like the David approach more than the JLT team... I will do the same test (next spring).
And you know what? If it doesn't work it's not that bad because I'm sure I will find someone, who believe all they read on the Internet, who want to buy it :D
