i'm sure there is surveillance

but if you don't wanna deal with apartment complex's then buy a house! smarter and wiser to do anyways....renting is just throwing money out the window with no return or reduction.
I own my condo. I've been there too long apparently. Living in the SF Bay Area and trading up to a detached home isn't as easy as it sounds, when 1000 sq ft spots are selling for $600K, and that's in the cities farthest from San Francisco.

The garage is underground, not a carport setup. Never did I think people would be able to hear my exhaust upstairs coming from a concrete garage.

As far as the comments about being a douche... I think I'm very respectful, and drive my car in 2nd gear slow as f--k.

Oh well.

I've never heard the corsa in person, so it might not be any louder than the others on cold start up or maybe it is  If your in a lease or moving is not in your cards, you just be prepared for a bitching match, or a call from the management company.

no matter how quiet your car gets youre gonna have someone complain about it i bet. they probably wont be happy until youre driving an electric car and saving the environment full on hippy status. welcome to california.

Get over it? Glad you guys arent my neighbors. I have the SType and thankfully havent had any complaints about it but I genuinely feel bad when I leave in the morning. I'm going to add the resonator to quiet the car down. Just cant imagine having neighbors as inconsiderate as some of the comments here.

This example is akin to having late, loud parties until 2 am or using a state of the art surround sound system late at night. You live in a condo and living in a condo or an apartment building comes with it's own set of responsibilities to the others who live there. If you don't wish to be considerate to the people who share your building, then maybe a condo or apartment isn't for you. Paying your rent does not give you the right to take away everyone else's reasonable expectations of peace and quiet.
^I would have to agree^

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying your being disrespectful to your neighbors, its just the environment your in.

I bought the FRPP touring cat backs b/c I wanted a more agressive exhaust but not so loud to upset my neighbors. I own my own house in a small subdivision, and I haven't gotten any complaints so far. But I don't leave for work until around 8:30.

There are a couple of guys on the street behind me that have bikes - a Harley and some kind of sport bike. Both are pretty loud, and both leave around 6:00 or so in the morning. Kind of annoying but since I like bikes as well as cars, and since I've got a louder than normal exhaust on Mustang. I'm not complaining.

All in all, I think my neighbors are all pretty chill. Mostly families and some older folks, including me.

Sounds a lot like my situation, less the FRPP touring cutback. I don't mind the stock exhaust, but I'd have to hear a FRPP touring before buying it. I doubt I'd want to go any louder than the touring though. Web videos of the FRPP touring and sport just don't accurately convey it for me.

when you start going out to get your newspaper in the morning and see this from your neighbors you know it might be time for a different exhaust

I have neighbor who bitches about my 15 with extremes. I think he hates Mustangs in general I don't care. But he has no problem with his Harley with drag pipes blast down the street 6 am or late at nite.

i mean other than cold start any catback exhaust on this car you have to make it be loud no matter what it is. they are all tame until you get on it.

i can understand living in san fran or cali in general because of the crazy noise and environmental laws and what not and people having issues. that wouldn't surprise me at all with type of people that are there.
and good god 1k sqft for 600k?! I got 4100sq ft for 300k here!

here though it's not something to really worry about because we got harley's, mustangs, camaros, tin can hondas, and loud ass trucks every where.

my corsa extreme is the least of my worries, i'm also not an asshole with it in the neighborhood either and put it in 3rd gear to keep rpm at 1500 or so.

I feel you man. Seattle, while not quite as expensive as SF its a few years behind in price. Glad I could finally get out (I own my condo as well) and totally understand moving to a detached house is not an option for most well earning folks in SF. One reason I dont move there even though the recruiters are literally begging.

Sooo...you would say the Corsa is really loud when you start it up?? I am considering these Vs their new sport catbacks. :D
