That said... I don't really recommend getting it. Chemical Guy's stuff is a bit overpriced unless you're buying by the gallon, and there you have to deal with the price of buying in bulk. Honestly most of Meguiar's products are practically the same thing, half the price, and can be bought at any walmart or auto store.
100% disagree with this. they are not the same by any stretch of the imagination.

and chemical guys isn't expensive. there is often 10-30% discounts. even those 16oz bottles of most of their products last a long time and you can get them $5-15 a bottle and gallons will last forever and with discounts they are super cheap especially for how long they last. plus amazon sells it too

My seats seem to be holding up well. Mine are red so they do become dirty quickly. I use a leather cleaner/conditioner probably once a month or so but the seats aren't showing any wear.

Using:
Zaino Z-9 Leather Soft Cleaner
AutoGlym Leather Care Balm

Read about this happening before I got my 15. I never put my belt through that strap because of it. I don't know why the belt isn't height adjustable like most new cars? With my seat position it doesn't bother my neck too much though, I adjust my shirt collar a little if does.

After a few thousand miles, my Katzkins are still perfect. This leather feels "thicker" and I have not even had to clean them except to vacuum an errant frenchfry crumb here and there. These Purple and Gold Leathers were truly "money well spent". Turned a "Plain Jane" Ingot Silver V-6 vert into a boulevard "stunner". I did this crazy interior to tailgate at LSU Tiger football games...but because it's so unusual, some people that don't know cars, have thought this little vert was a Jag vert. More than one "European car snob" thought this. Always had Ford factory leather in all of my previous Mustangs...not any more...custom leather in a convertible really is the ultimate visual mod. And it helps that it's cheaper than Ford's!

Aren't Katzkin covers something like $2k plus? And they probably wouldn't work with seat coolers/heaters.

Almost 14k miles on my leather seats and they are perfect. Even let the dogs ride in the back and they haven't made a mark either.

You can disagree all you want, but the basic stuff performs the same as the meguiars stuff. I've used both, and the CG stuff doesn't magically perform any better.

CG has some good stuff though, but they also have some duds. Read amazon reviews, and you'll be good. Like I said, they're a good value if you're buying by the gallon, but their 16oz bottles are expensive... discount or not (although I haven't seen that many discounts, but w/e).

That said, I'm not going to argue any further about it. I like their products, I just feel that Meguiar's products are just as good at half the price.

Yea, I wish we had the same plastic loops the verts do. Not sure why they cheaped out and used leather straps. Even my old 99 Mustang had durable plastic loops for the seatbelt.

That said, it still doesn't make sense to me why the seatbelt isn't at least height adjustable.

6'6 350lbs here.......only 2k miles on the car but time will tell how the foam thigh / back "huggers" hold up under the cloth seats.

Pretty good price

The basic leather seat was $1,200 but I added the extra color upgrade and contrasting color stitching...with tax it came to $1,413 total. :headbang: I was told by the Austin Katzkin dealer that they could add the heated and cooled seats if my car came from Ford with that option. I told them that my car wasn't even offered with leather seats from Ford...it being a V-6 with hardly any options. Let me add that there was nothing wrong with the standard cloth seats that came with my vert, but these Katzkins are terrific. And the dealer gave me my original cloth seats back in case I want to return to stock to sell car. The other thing that I find amazing is that the whole buying and installing took one week...I picked out the design and leathers on a Friday and had them installed the following Friday. Just incredible "customer service" from Dealer Services of Austin, Texas.:hail:

Can't really contribute too much to long term wear and tear, as I only have 2100 miles on mine, but I did get out of my car today in a tight spot and ripped a hole in my premium leather seat with a pocket knife that was in my pocket. I was so pissed at myself. It's smaller than a dime, but now I have to have it fixed and I'm not happy about it.

7,000 miles on my leather seats and I don't think they're holding up great in terms of tightness. I'm about 160 lbs and some of the leather panels on the seat base look really wavy and not at all tightly fitting. The foam in the left side seat bolster also looks like it has really worn down and the leather is also wavy/loose there.
