  1. GT350 Exhaust Vibration / Resonance Noise at 2,000 RPMs

Update for future reference: Turned out to be a broken exhaust hanger arm near the muffler that sheared off. Got the hanger welded back together for $20 at an independent exhaust shop. Took the shop about 2 minutes to figure it out. This is after I had paid the Ford dealership $180 for an hour...
  2. GT350 Exhaust Vibration / Resonance Noise at 2,000 RPMs

I recently purchased a 2016 GT350 that has a pretty noisy exhaust vibration or resonance sound around 1,500-2,000 RPMS when the engine heats up above 190. The noise is most concentrated at 2,000 RPMS and occurs whether under load, decelerating, or revving from a stop. It also happens in either...
  3. Possible to extend the drivetrain warranty on a used 2016 GT350?

Looks like this Zeigler Ford dealer is offering Ford Protect extended warranties beyond 41 months, or least is offering a quote for it. Flood Ford and a few of their other big ones I've seen mentioned here were saying (on their website form at least) that this was ineligible after 41 months and...
  4. Possible to extend the drivetrain warranty on a used 2016 GT350?

Looking at pulling the trigger on a 2016 GT350 that has about 5 months left on the powertrain warranty, and obviously the bumper to bumper is expired at this point. Does anyone know if Ford will specifically extend the powertrain warranty before it expires? If so, are Flood Ford or some of the...
  5. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

Not a dig at all, I appreciate hearing from others who were in the same position. So many people on forums are such diehard Chevy guys or Ford guys and couldn't ever objectively consider buying another brand, so it's tough to find people who are just looking at it all objectively. I would...
  6. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

That's a sunk cost though; all I can control is how much to spend from here on out (to answer your question, if I would buy out the lease and sell it back to Vroom right away for their offer, the net cost of the lease for 39 months including the equity from selling it would be about $11,000)...
  7. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

That's pretty much where I'm at. In terms of regular street driving, if the Camaro is a 10, the GT350 feels like an 11. Objectively, they're pretty similar. The sound and presence of the GT350 is pretty intangible but what makes it seem so tempting. And it does just feel more special and...
  8. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

That's the tough thing. The GT350 really is a great car, but test driving it almost made me appreciate the Camaro SS even more in terms of how good of a value it is for being $15-20k less than a GT350 when new. In terms of street driving at least, they seem very comparable, but with their own...
  9. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

I agree the GT350 powertrain and handling is totally unique and wasn't comparing that to the EcoBoost in anyway. I just meant that in terms of the interior and to some extent the exterior looks, the GT350 is just a bit less exciting to me since I've already had the EcoBoost for three years...
  10. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

In Milwaukee, so pretty easy city drive on well plowed roads in the winter. GT350 definitely does feel special, and I feel that it will likely hold its value better than the SS would if I buy it out. I loved the GT350, it's just somewhat tough to say it's basically worth 2x the price of what I...
  11. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

That's a great deal, but I did a nationwide search for 6th gens with the 2SS package, under 40,000 miles (mine has 30,000), and M/T and cheapest anywhere in the country is $32k. Vroom offered $32k to buy mine. Median is around $35-36k. Cheapest within 150 miles of me is $35k. The manual...
  12. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

In Wisconsin, but I've managed winters just fine with my Camaro SS with the right tires and obviously would need to do the same with the GT350. I don't have a long commute and the roads usually get cleaned up pretty quickly, and I always have the option to work from home anyway if conditions...
  13. Worth Upgrading to a GT350 over Camaro SS?

I am currently leasing a 2017 Camaro SS M/T that is my daily driver, and the lease is ending in a few weeks. Given how much used car prices have gone up, I can buy my lease out for $25k and realistically sell it for $34-35k. I love the SS but have had it for three years and the GT350 is...
  14. High number of 2016 GT350s on the market with California lemon brand title?

Heller Ford in El Paso, IL has three CA lemon brand titled GT350s in stock currently, and Van Horn Ford in Lomira, WI has another.
  15. High number of 2016 GT350s on the market with California lemon brand title?

Got it, any sense what percentage of GT350s out there were bought back by Ford? Seems relatively prevalent based on my search, maybe 3 out of 20 had it. I agree, even if you could get comfortable with buying it, it makes it that much harder to convince someone when it's time to sell.
  16. High number of 2016 GT350s on the market with California lemon brand title?

I'm looking at buying a used GT350 and have come across an unusually high number of 2016 GT350s that have a "lemon brand" title issue reported in the Autocheck Report that appears to be from California in each case. Is there something particular going on with these? One Midwest dealership in...

  18. Does This Vanity Plate Offend You.

The state is not prohibiting anyone from putting offensive messages on their car. They just aren't willing to, or required to, print it themselves. The 1st Amendment doesn't guarantee the right to have the state print and issue a license plate that says anything you want.
  19. Does This Vanity Plate Offend You.

One is printed and issued by (and therefore, implicitly endorsed by) the State, the other is not. That's the difference here.
