I wouldn't either........ I spend the winter in Mexico!!!!!!:cheers:Supposedly, you're supposed to see if you have snow/ice on your hood as your engine heats up.
I wouldn't know, I'm in central texas. I'll see ice/snow once or twice every few years.
Yep ... they could have easily put the same stamping in the hood liner and had both. See when opening the hood, and see on frosty mornings on the outside.Sucks that they cover it up. I bet the guy that designed the stamping was bummed when he found out too. lol
I've been hearing that since last year, yet I don't recall a single pic of this happening over the winter... Further, if that was the reasoning for it why would it be upside down as viewed with the hood closed? It is only meant to be seen when there is a frost. Under the right conditions the pony will be visible on your hood.
I've seen pics of it and it does show on the hood, but you are right - why would they put it upside down?? that pony is clearly meant to be seen while the hood is popped open!(with liner removed)I've been hearing that since last year, yet I don't recall a single pic of this happening over the winter... Further, if that was the reasoning for it why would it be upside down as viewed with the hood closed?
The liner is cake to remove. Pull out the clips and it comes right off.I haven't looked yet but can you remove the liner and put it back? How easy is it to remove? I'm thinking about removing mine for shows. Is it strictly for sound or does it help with heat as well?
Technically it would trap more heat in. And if you have an aftermarket exhaust you will not notice any sound difference.I haven't looked yet but can you remove the liner and put it back? How easy is it to remove? I'm thinking about removing mine for shows. Is it strictly for sound or does it help with heat as well?
I'm surprised someone hasn't cut an oval out of their hood liner to match the oval around the pony so you can see it with the liner installed.I haven't looked yet but can you remove the liner and put it back? How easy is it to remove? I'm thinking about removing mine for shows. Is it strictly for sound or does it help with heat as well?
