Oct 9, 2014 pick up date here! Just shy of 36,000 on the odometer of my summer DD. A few long road trips and way more backroad fun than I could detail here! It has been a fantastic 3 year experience with many many more still to come!
The tires are night and day better in performance. In terms of ride quality i have plenty of issues with the crappy suspension Ford have us but I don't remember any change over the stock pirellis
I killed my stock pirellis both front and rear in 11k. Switched over to MPSS and have over 19k on these with about half tread up front and maybe another 1k on the rear if im lucky. Way better tread life and WAY better performance wet and dry.
*Note I've driven harder on the mpss than I ever did...
The lcd display between the gauges is the same size as my wife's escape which has a large font digital Speedo that is the perfect size. It is as simple as a software update, Ford just won't so it.
The only clear A-B comparison I can make is with lane changes. In my truck or wife's car if I turn my signal on to make change people either stay where they are or back up slightly to give me room. In my mustang as soon as the car beside/behind me see my blinker they speed up and try to block me...
The good news for Ford is they have a several thousand dollar cushion to raise the 18 price and still be cheaper than camaro with the same options. I just ran the numbers on an equally speced mustang GTPP premium with redline and camaro less active exhaust, magnaride, suspension lower kit etc...
Just placed my order! I plan to just do the collar for now and then upgrade to the full shifter assembly maybe next summer.
In the meantime it is a PAIN to shift in reverse lol
The crappy plastic pull-up collar that attaches to the reverse lockout just snapped off while trying to put my car in reverse. I pulled it up as normal and heard a snap. Luckily I didn't assume I was in reverse and run myself into the brick wall right in front of me. Quite disappointed in ford...
I had State Farm for almost 9 years. I finally cross shopped and saved over $130/month for my 3 cars by switching to Progressive. I never had any incidents handled by State Farm so I cannot speak to their quality of service. Less than 2 months into my Progressive coverage I was in a weather...
That article is terrible! A person is killed and they spend half the article talking about manual car sales statistics. Even if the criminals yelled out "we wouldn't shoot you if this was an auto or we could drive stick" it would still be bad taste to discuss car sale trends in a homicide article.
