Same here, but where did you get it ? You like it that's all that counts. I change things on my car, for a few reasons. To visually hide things, clean up, organize, accent others. Under the hood presents a lot of opportunity for that.
What others think I don't give a rats ass. Each of us drive, own and personalize our cars, the point being personalize.
Reading around car some forums I once saw a thread. "People who do bad things to nice cars"
Not seen any Mustangs that have been made fugly . Some of the factory colors make me choke, but that's about it.
Enjoy your car
You get to see the pony.So what happens when your rip off the insulation ?
He did a good job, nice air brush work ...I had it done by a local guy who does air brush painting. I wanted something a little unique, not just a wrap of some sort. My daughter and son liked it so do l.I haven't been to any car shows since I got it so I'm anxious to see others thoughts. Thank you.
You get to see the pony.
You lose a couple pounds of weight.
You make the hood is easier to lift
You make more to clean under the hood.
You hear engine noise better
You increase the likelihood of more extensive damage If there's a fire.

Thank you, I like seeing photos of what people have done under the hood, and engine dressings. I'm a Mustang fan.The blanket is for noise suppresion is all. Take it off and you hear the injectors, leave it on and it reduces that noise.
It has nothing to do with fire suppresion like the internet old wives tale says. Have you EVER seen a car fire get stopped by the blanket? The blanket itself is flammable so not much use in a fire.
I like the painting you did OP.
