The rear PP tires are 275/40/19, so the overall diameter is 27.66". Gets you about 59mph in 2nd.

While I agree with you about there being an error in the apps, saying you beat your friend in his Camaro isn't conclusive evidence proving the apps wrong in anyway. One, you have Pro Drivers, then you have Legen- wait for it -dary Pro drivers,
I guess I'm a Legen- wait for it- dary driver, at least that's what I would think if my name was Barney Stinson.

The gear ration calculator I'm using is showing the 2nd gear only getting you guys with the 3.73 to 54mph with a 275/30-19, if that is what the tire is and if it's similar to the pirelli p-zero nero GT. (25.4" overall diameter not sure if this is inflated measurement or not on tire rack)
Your tire size is wrong, should be 275/40/19 which is 27.7" diameter.

Edit: saw your correction never mind.

So I take it I should not really even use the times I'm getting from track apps because they are off?

Has anybody been to a track and tested the acceleration timer for 1/8 or 1/4 mile against their actual timeslip? I'm interested to see how the numbers stack up to real results from a track.

If you spin...wouldn't the 1/4 mile times be false?

I've ran the Mustang's 1/4 mile timer while running at the drag strip and compared the ET slip to the Mustang's timer. It was off by a few tenths. I'm not impressed with its accuracy...

Have a good day!

This just bothers me man, why put all that app in there if its not accurate? My understanding is the apps and speedometer is rated for a base gt with 3.31 gears! You have any other gear ratios for the gt then booom it doesnt freaking work! They should have adjusted all those apps and the speedometer from the factory but they didn't bother! Good job Ford you keep this up! :frusty:

I used mine at the track and ran 12.9 111 where as the app said 13.4 107. So I would say it's useless

I love how people compare 0-60 times as if they only race to 60 lol. In a real race a PP car will clearly pull away at higher speeds. It makes me damn happy I choose the 3.73's. I've also accepted that the slower times are due to wheel spin but we all know once you hit third and she hooks she's gone!

I think your statement is too general. Why do you think a PP is so advantageous at higher speeds? IMHO, it would depend on the specific speed being raced to. If the 3.73 requires an additional gear change that's not required by the other ratios, you may be better off with the numerically lower gear ratio.

Just some food for thought :).

Have a good day!

Yeah, I'd have to agree with you on that point. I'm curious about 1/4 mile also (haven't been yet, but plan on it shortly), if at the end of the 1/4, shifting into another gear might be a factor.
