With the cooler mounted higher than the differential and no check valves in the system (I aware of,) I'm pretty sure oil drains back to the differential if it's not circulating through the cooler. I'll eventually sort this out, I mainly just want to know if the pump is actually functioning. The dealer procedure uses their high end scanner to activate the computer, similar to Forscan.

You can measure how much comes out. Diff holds about 1.5qt and the cooler maybe another quart.

Thanks, Phil, I don't understand what information is actually being processed to trigger the oil pump relay but maybe jumper wiring the relay (#90 for factory equipped pumps) is the direct hack if you don't have Forscan to activate the pump?

If you find a way let me know. I've changed mine probably 3-4 times now and simply fill the diff until it's slightly overflowing and put the plug in quickly I've not seen any issues with oil level doing this after checking the car after a couple heat cycles. Since your jumper didn't have a resistor I wonder what temp it thinks correlates to zero ohms.

I run mine with two switches (one for the pump and one for the fan). The switches are located in the center compartment housed in a switch box. I also have a jumper power wire set up so I can plug into a small 12v battery I pace in the trunk while in the pits. This will run the pump and fan between track runs ( it will power the fan and pump 4 times at 20 mins without dyeing ). The pit cool downs helps the most because that is when the Diff "heat soaks". Cool it down between sessions and most of the time you wont even need the pump and fan on while on the track. But I can switch them on when needed on the track.
