I am puting together a DIY oil cooler set up and since it did not come as a kit with instructions I need to know if it matters which direction the lines go. I have a big oil cooler and its mounted where one line will come in the top and one will come out the bottom. My gut was saying to have the fluid flow in top and out bottom, but if there is no check valve in this system, so it seams that that setup will allow oil to drain out when its not running. If I run it backwards from that possibly there is a built in check valve in the oil pump and it wont let the oil push back on the supply side. Or its real possible I am way over thinking this. Can someone shed some wisdom on this.
