I’m looking at a 2021 GT that Ford bought back due to a PCM failure. Ford fixed it, resold it and it’s been 15k miles since that time. Seems to me that this should be an OK thing and not to worry about it. On the CARFAX is a big RED warning that Ford reacquired this car and then fixed it and resold it.
seems odd to buy it back for essentially a computer failure and replacement unless it took too long to fix it.
So my question is should I really be worried about this PCM that was replaced and the car has been driven 15k miles trouble free since?
The value is obviously affected by the big red Flag on the carfax but the car seems ok.
thanks.
