So, first, I must admit that I spend most of my car "research" time looking at Mach 1/Bullitt/ GT350/GT500/Dark Horse inventory, prices/availability trends and whatnot. So today, when I decided to take a quick look at new 2026 Mustang GT inventory on the west coast, holy cow was I surprised at the MSRPs.
For example, I found a couple 2026 Mustang GTs with 401a, performance package, nite pony package, active valve exhaust, Magnaride, manual transmission with no B and O stereo or subwoofer. For an MSRP of $64-67k!!??
Since when did the MSRP on a GT hit mid 60k? This is relatively close to entry level for new or used BMW and C8 territory. Or obviously above the price of a used Mach 1 or GT350 and close to a used Dark Horse.
If the mid 60k price is fairly consistent across the US, are people just forking over the dough because they want a new GT?
