Meanwhile, I got my first ever speeding ticket, and it was for 141 in a 70... no arrest or anything, just a ticket, break of dawn, before streets even filled up with any traffic.
Data collection & selling is one of the biggest money making "schemes" out there. Companies harvest your data, claiming for it to be used for things like marketing, product improvements, future updates, etc., but sell it to various companies instead.
I've been getting more and more into user...
Sounds wonky, but USB plug cover for the front USB slot (below the START/STOP button), and swapping out the OEM single-slot USB, for a dual USB slot module (in the glovebox). Specifically, I used Module HC3Z-19A387-F...
I've had similar issues as well, so I sort of just gave up and disabled the BMS system. Haven't seen the sleep mode pop up since, even through three days of straight freezing.
Time will tell if the BMS was responsible for killing my two previous batteries.
The OEM Pirelli's like to be really hot to get them sticky. They are 100% meant for track & dry conditions, and only if it's wet, but not road conditions wet. I switched to 285/30 Nitto's NT555 G2's, and the stick a lot better than Pirelli's at cooler temps, but the Pirelli's are still stickier...
Purchased this and seems... way more dim than I expected :(
I'll have to pull it out in the AM and double check to make sure all 40 LEDs light up. To be fair, I haven't cleaned up the lens housing.
Edit: Whoopsie, looks like I revived a dead thread 🤪
You see it as an "investment," I see it as a toy I'd like to keep until the day I die. I've already raced through the icy Utah mountains on the lovely Route 6, and through two blizzards over freshly salted roads. Moment I arrived home, it went through an undercarriage wash twice 😅
She has seen...
You sure? Look at page four. I have a 2015-2017 model as well, so it shouldn't be different.
But I think I'll live with it. Alternator's thankfully easy enough to change out, and I can swap in for a much stronger one after the OEM dies.
Surprisingly, yeah. I've driven it in this condition for about six years, and personally complained to myself about the 1-2-3 and sometimes 3-4 shifts being unusually rough or "hesitant." And when switching between drive & reverse (especially from drive to reverse), it feels like being shot or...
I tried again and still can't get the bastards off. Thank goodness for FORScan I guess, but I love physical disconnects more. Disabled the BMS (changed from "PWM" to "None"), and now the battery is back to a healthy state. Holds 12.4-12.5 V and she stays on for ages.
Every single day, 30+ miles...
Thank you all for your help. I have found the settings, and have proceeded to clear, halt, and stop the adaptive transmission. She shifts smoother than butter now, I have long forgotten just how smooth the 6R80 is capable of shifting, I can't feel a thing!
Take a look at what MiamiGT350 shared...
Yeah, that's right, I've used Motorcraft because they've all been replaced under a warranty, so I haven't yet bought myself one yet. I've been looking into the Odyssey brand since quite a few people on here swear by it.
I live in an apartment complex now, so I don't have access to any outlets...
Yup, cover stays on, and I've removed the insulating foam attached to the underside of the hood as well. Always been garage kept until 2022. Still killed batteries like crazy. Meanwhile, my mom's RAV4 still has the original battery, working since 2012. Maybe even older, since I don't know the...
Hello all,
Outside of simply disconnecting the car's battery for a few hours, how do you reset the adaptive transmission tables? Better yet, how can you outright disable it through FORScan?
Tried looking far and wide for answers, but everything was about the 10R80, or locked away with a simple...
This is going to sound very stupid, but uhh... how do you disconnect these clips? I saw the clip/lever you push down & pull, but not a single bit of give for mine. The taillights and the seats were the only things I've ever disconnected, but they gave away like butter.
Granted, it was ~20°F and...
Yup, that sounds absolutely like a low-battery due to lack of use. I'll often slow down and take 20-25 minutes to commute so I can give the battery a chance to recharge. I've noticed that's the minimum it takes for these cars to recharge their batteries.
Managed to solve or mitigate the issue... Took the car out for a short drive around the block, then parked & it stopped. Will need to check in with a mechanic eventually to see what could have caused it.
Main reason for that low battery warning, was due to the lights staying on for quite a...
The lights that signify climate control settings, driving toggles, etc., remain ON after I turn off my car, get out, and close the door.
Image below taken through the rear window.
Along with this, I get "System Off to Save Battery" showing up on my SYNC display. Here is a video of me trying to...
