Pretty sure everyone knows this but check your tires and get an alignment check even if you don't think you need it. Its hard as hell to see the inside edge on the 305 tire that has so little tread depth anyway. My car has always handled amazingly well and tracked straight on the highway. Street/weekend cruiser/fun car only. Has a few rear chassis mods but stock suspension spring and strut/shock wise. No mods to the front at all other than brakes. Was going to get new tires next spring. Had my car on the QuickJack yesterday for other work and saw both fronts corded on the inside edge. Went over 7000 miles this weekend and had a set of all seasons for just the previous winter. So the Cup2s saw 6500 miles tops. Likely closer to 6000.

Rears have some good life left in them but I took all 4 off already since the car was in the air. I already ordered new tires. Need to figure out selling those for cheap vs letting the mobile tire guy take them.

Clearly I had better get the toe checked after I get my PS4S installed.

Cup2s don't last long as expected. With an alignment you should get plenty of life out of your PS4S. My last set of PS4S lasted over 40K miles, daily driver. Reminds me I got to get an alignment on my new PS4S now. My wear was perfect on my old PS4S but anytime you get new tires alignment is a must regardless of how straight it tracks.

Cording my last set of MP4S, and that last drive home from work in the rain was “exciting”. Car would try to jump itself sideways any time I touched a white lane marking. Do not recommend.

In my defense I had been checking those inside edges every week, knew it was coming and was just trying to make it past xmas. I definitely waited a bit too long and nearly paid the price.

Yep! Can confirm the Cup2's wear down fast! I drove my Mach 1 on the stock Cup2's from Louisiana to North Carolina for the track attack, then went drive the Tail of the Dragon, and then drove back to Louisiana. I checked my front tires when I got back and the steel belts were showing. I think I got roughly 9k to 10k miles on the Cup2's! Now I run Conti ECS2's!

That looks familiar. Im still gonna get my alignment checked in the next couple weeks.

Same thing happened to me at 8k. Factory toe issue. Might have made it to 10k with a proper alignment but honestly the tires aged out before I ran out of tread.

Nice! Always loved the look of those wheels!

After I got the Cup2's removed, but before I got my alignment, I pulled the struts down and removed the factory set screws from the strut top mounts (so they could be adjusted) and made sure they were completely outboard. That way the camber would be not as negative for the street and the toe would be right.

I will do that if I need to. The camber has never looked too negative to me. Guess we will see about that and the toe.

Got the PS4S mounted up. Love GoMobile Tire!

Besides the fact that Cup 2s are fairly soft compound track tires, the HP Mach 1s came from the factory with a track focused alignment. To make the tires last a bit longer you should have your alignment set to the street use specifications that are in your owner's manual.

Because of the alignment settings from the factory on these cars, you’re always gonna wear out on the inside of the tire faster

I really like the Conti ECS2's! They grip super well in the dry and the rain! I have them on the stock HP rims, so my fronts are 305/30R19 and my rears are 325/30R19. I'm on my second set!

where abouts in Louisiana? I have yet to see another red one. In the Baton Rouge area I know of at least 6 other Machs, white, grey, black, every single one of them. Mine is the only non grey scale car, and is red. (There was a red one in Folsom, but he sold his I believe after a year or two)

scratch that, there is a green one on shiny gold rims and stanced. have seen it a couple of times.
