'22 GT 401A A10 bought new in April of '23 as a left over. Did a dealer trade and took delivery with 600 miles on it. Currently less than 100 miles from 50,000 miles. Did wheels and tires the day I took delivery. Ordered BMR suspension and black out badges the same time as the wheels and tires and have only put the black pony on when supercharging. Been supercharged since Sept of '25(almost 7,000 miles). Only issue that I've had was a fluke bearing failure on an idler pulley on the supercharger bracket and they warrantied it superfast!

2022 GT, ordered new. It’s my daily (yes even in winter) and has just shy of 23K miles. Engine is 100% stock except for a Green Filter drop in filter and a FP catch can. Only issue I’ve had is the trans fluid was a quart low from factory (which was an issue for the A10’s). Car has been great, I did get a Ford ESP mainly for the trans and electronics. I’m not worried about the coyote holding up at all. Doesn’t burn a drop of oil either.

Almost 117,000 miles on my 19 now. Boosted at 48k. Engine replaced at 96k due to a mechanical issue not boost related. Replaced a few wheel bearings and the alternator went out last year. Other than that been pretty solid.

My slave cylinder went bad around 40k miles and I had to replace that and I swapped the clutch while in there. Total of about $2800 that cost me.

3 year into its life, right after warranty ran out the steering rack went bad.
That was a $3k job. (Ford helped me with this to be fair)

At 7k miles right front wheel bearing went bad.

Both rear calipers have had issues with the parking brake not engaging correctly and have needed to be replaced. Pain in the butt because I had them painted.

Car has rattled pretty bad on the interior since day 1. Has taken me years to chase the worst ones down. Still have an issue where the passenger seat rattles because there is a zip tie not clipped right inside it, skin needed to come off to fix and I never wanted the dealer to mess with it. I just keep a book in the back pocket to stop it.

Now at 42k miles, a little over 6 years old on my 2020 picked up Nov 2019.

There isn't another car out there worth the price that would put a bigger smile on my face than this car does every day, I might drive it until it falls apart. The sound is unmatched at the price. It's taken some abuse and held up pretty well.

It's not the best car but it is the most fun car with a manual. If I had the auto version I'd probably be back in a BMW by now.

22k miles - would be higher; was my fair weather commuter before COVID. Now I just drive it around the local lakes for fun mostly

No major repairs - never been to repair shops for anything other than tire replacement

One minor repair, if you could even call it a repair - rear view mirror mount cover popped off when I removed a parking tag, snapped right back on and hasn't come off since)

Original engine and N/A - don't race or mess around much anymore and it has plenty of power as is- drifts fine so I'm happy :)

It's been an awesome car. I don't plan on selling it - almost eight years later and I'm still not tired of it at all.

2018 PP1 MT, daily driver with 57k miles on the clock. Bought it at 13k. Only issue that wasn't self-inflicted is a failed throttle body (was getting up to speed very quickly on a freeway entrance ramp, put a quick halt to that on that particular day). I love everything about the car and am looking to buy my next one from the factory so I can specify every little thing about it. Which will basically be a carbon copy of this one.

Wow - some really great info and responses - keep them coming!

This helps folks who are in the market who either want to trade up from an S550 EB (or other older Mustang platform) to a S550 5.0 or those who are wanting to buy but never owned an S550 (or any other Mustang for that matter).

The info posted here comes direct from the owner, not some 3rd party unreliable online source or “fear mongering biased automotive” website(s). This also gives some comfort to folks in the position to buy or trade up - that the S550 5.0 is a great performance platform and a bargain performance vehicle to what remains out there from similar competition platforms.

It also helps to comfort the decision process knowing and reading that actual long term owners have had really good ownership history.

This is great info being posted by all!! I hope more folks participate because it’s valuable info to everyone, even current owners to current owners seeing who’s experienced “A” vs. who’s not experienced anything at all.

35000 kms with RSPEC supercharger from new. No issues other than fitting camber plates as inner tyre edge flare could not be adjusted out from new. Smile for every mile. Not daily driver but no garage queen either.
Garage Oueen, that's Good!!

2016 GT PP1 purchased new in 2016 and now has 53k miles. It was a daily for about 2 years and then became an autox/HPDE car primarily with over 100 track days under its belt. I run the car hard but also do a lot of preventative maintenance. The powertrain has been solid and treated me very well. I did have the BCM replaced early on and a catalytic converter around 50k miles but everything else I would consider regular maintenance for a track car. Everything on the interior still works but I do have quite a lot of rattles, probably because I removed most of the rubber from the suspension. I'm nearing 10 years of ownership with this car and it is probably more reliable than our daily drivers that are less than 4 years old.

2018 here. Been boosted since 2k miles. Been on e85 since 12k miles. Transmission started slipping at 58k miles.
It now has a engine with Manley rods and Mahle pistons, circle D converter, makes 904 to the tire. In the process of saving to get a new transmission done.
Car has 78k on it now. Also.going to replace all the suspension with better parts.

21 base gt 6spd, bought new in march '22, 68k miles, daily driver even in winter when it's not snowing, NE PA. Paint on the nose has taken a beating, lots of chips, that's winter driving for you. Only part failures so far are the master cylinder, replaced at 65k by me. The seals went on my braided stainless clutch line so the factory one is back in now. Dealer oil changes every 5k miles, still under warranty. Track it at Pocono once or twice a summer, scca track nights. Motor stock, no tune. Considered trading for a new 7th gen but can't stand that dash. Keeping it for now.

I am second owner of a 2019 GT A10. Bought with 7800 miles in 2021 and it has just over 40k now. Mine is a Canadian car, I bought it at the BMW dealer I worked at in IL when it came through as a used car traded from another dealer in the auto group, where it was on their lot too long. A couple years later, it moved along with me to west central FL. No performance mods as it is my daily, and my wife may need to drive it from time to time and I don’t need her to have to deal with some finicky or annoying thing that many of us might look the other way on. We also do road trips in it. I did replace the resonator with a steeda H pipe, which she thinks is tolerable - any louder and we would only be driving her car on those road trips. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a car girl, and loves all that stuff, but an obnoxious 4+ hour drive is not her (or mine really) idea of fun. I don’t plan on getting rid of the car, and when it ultimately stops being the daily, I’ll get into some performance projects. Only problem I have had is the OE battery failing a few months ago, which resulted in the terminal corroding as well. So had to replace the batt and ground cable. I have done some speaker changes and Forscan changes. Did the jailbreak of sync3 and installed a new theme.
Are there instructions to jailbreak sync3?

2019 GT PP1, 50k miles now bought in 2021 with only 2500 miles. So about 9500mi/yr.

Back drivers side diff bushing had a small tear, rear front LCA bushings are showing cracks, and timing cover is weeping. Consumes about 1-2 qt of oil between changes, but has no issues otherwise.

Its been a great car overall, dead reliable.

2016 GT auto here. Bought it used in 2022 with 36k miles, now it’s at 63k. I drive it around town mostly but it gets occasional road trips and highway trips if the weather is nice. I’m a fairly spirited driver but not a maniac.
It’s had the 2018 manifold/2018 stock airbox for a while now along with a wengerd tune. Also I have the BMR lockout kit and front subframe brace on it along with an H pipe. The car is a ton of fun to drive.
I’ve had zero mechanical issues, the interior is like new and only has a couple very minor rattles on rough roads despite having the dash apart a couple times for cosmetic mods.
The one issue I have is the damn paint bubbling on the front edge of the hood, that’s it.
