Good evening,

I have a 2016 gt just hit 125,000 miles, any input on sticking with the motorcraft oil or should I go with one of the high mileage oils?

Great topic! If you drive a lot of miles, I'd just use an inexpensive high detergent oil and change it frequently.

High mileage oil has seal conditioners in it. Just FYI.

When I retired from an oil distributor Conoco-Phillips had the Motorcraft contract. In the past six years I have not heard that it has changed. My advice is stick with what you have been doing. That is if the use situation has not changed.

Unless you're experiencing an issue, I'd continue to use what you have been and follow the service schedule.

For the first 5,000 mi / 8,000 km, I used dino oils in my DD Tacoma. Afterwards, I changed to one of the major synthetics and have continued to use it. At 155,000 mi / 248,000 km, there has been no change in MPG, I've never added a drop of oil between changes and all appearances inside show zero deposits.

If you don't see tells something is going awry, I'd keep on keepin' on.

If you do decide to change oil type, brand or weight, it will take 2-3 oil changes for all the previous oil to be removed, the oil in the engine then representing the properties in the jug.

Try some organic olive oil. It goes great with a little balsamic and some breadsticks.
Cars and salads both require a premium oil change to stay smooth, but if you mix them up, you’ll either have a Fiat that smells like a focaccia or a Caesar salad that qualifies for a 3k mile powertrain warranty.

Any top tier oil , or stay with what your using , if you feel comfortable with it.
I must say 125k ( I take it , the coyote is stock ) is great to hear . The more I read or watch on U tube , Ford designed the Coyote to handle 700 + HP in its stock configuration , the short block sleeved and studded with high quality parts can handle much much more. There is a video posted a few days ago ( can't remember names ) prominent Florida engine builder who specializes in Coyotes.
Very interesting to watch .
Added Joe Irwin is his name , the video is in newest Threads.
