I have an OEM wheel with no miles Im saving for a rainy day. Currently at ~60k miles thinking of doing it before 70k as I assume the car will last about 200k

Weekend therapy machines, hitting top of the mountain before it's closed for winter.

The GT is now put away for the winter. We have about two inches of snow on the ground, and the snowplows have been running and dumping salt on the roads. I will be driving the 2011 V6 Mustang for the winter. Winter tires are on the old stock wheels. It will be time to order the new transmission and clutch for the GT soon. Getting rid of the stock MT 82 for a Calimer transmission. I am done with the stock MT 82 popping out of second gear when down shifting. The car only has 35K miles on it. I bought it this spring with 24K miles.

I had most of the week off, so I took my time and had my 13- year-old son help install new pads and rotors all the way around. I also installed GT350 front and GT500 rear sway bars.

After my first run bedding the pads in, I still have some front pad rubbing noise, so I think another round of bedding is necessary.

While looking everything over I noticed that my x pipe has a cracked weld. Now I know where that exhaust leak sound was coming from… 😡

Did my first oil change on this vehicle too. I had no idea the head effect 10 quarts of hot oil has as it’s flying out the pan.
First oil changes can be something of a disaster.

Femco, Ronin and UPR are three companies which make mess-free drain plugs. I went with UPR and have enjoyed having it. Now, I just unscrew the valve in the plug and take a nap while the oil drains.. :giggle:.

It is easy to control the flowrate with those plugs.

If you can get your car high enough you can add a clear vinyl tube onto the plug and drain straight into an empty 5 gallon jug.

The 5 gallon jug fills fast enough that I don't bother coming out from under the car to change to another jug.

Then I just drop off the two jugs at Autozone.

Hint: Cut the vinyl tube to be just longer than the jug height.
