  1. Q about front spacers

Agreed. I have bolt on spacers on my car, and have for roughly 65,000 miles. Install them correctly, torque them properly, inspect them periodically, and you're fine. Now, I wouldn't autocross or track my car with them on, but for daily duty, I've had no issues. The folks that do have issues...
  2. Chemical guys torqx swirl remover kit left haze on paint

That looks like compound haze to me. Your best bet is to follow up with a finer polish on a softer pad to remove that. If you burnt through the clear, it wouldn't be even and shiny like that (haze notwithstanding). You'd notice splotchy areas that weren't as shiny as others.
  3. I know the S550s can’t do the cam chop but is there anyway to get it to chop? Not tune chop.

With dual overhead cams and variable valve timing, there's no need for the Coyote to have a choppy idle. It's literally a best-of-both-worlds scenario. You can have good low end torque, and still breathe at high RPM. You might get a little bit of chop with aggressive aftermarket cams, but your...
  4. Has anyone else run into fitment issues with the Cortex Racing bumpsteer kit?

I'm thinking that the hex portion of the stud should not bottom out against the knuckle. If it does, there's a chance the taper isn't long enough and won't be fully seated in the knuckle. You want the taper to be fully engaged along its length, so what you call the 'bad' stud could actually be...
  5. Rear brake pad part number

The part you need is FR3Z-2200-J https://parts.levittownfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-brake-pads-fr3z2200j?c=Zz1icmFrZXMmcz1yZWFyLWJyYWtlcyZsPTE2Jm49QXNzZW1ibGllcyBQYWdlJmE9Zm9yZCZvPW11c3RhbmcmeT0yMDIyJnQ9bWFjaC0xJmU9NS0wbC12OC1nYXM%3D Is there any particular reason you're looking for OEM pads...
  6. Pilot Sport 4S differences?

Compare the tire specs carefully between the two. I believe the Mercedes tire will have a narrower section width compared to the 'standard' tire, even given a same numerical tire size.
  7. Mach 1 Tremac lurching forward after recall update / Oil change / Failed Emissions test

Emissions testing (via OBD diagnostic port) is required annually in Texas, and you must pass in order to renew your registration. There's no sniffer test, and the visual inspection is typically cursory at best. As long as you don't have any pending codes, no active CEL, and all readiness...
  8. 2021 mustang GT Transmission noise from Center Console

I'll add that what I thought was initially pinion bearing or differential noise turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. The sound started out pretty faint, but after a few hundred miles, got progressively louder until it was easy to pinpoint that it was actually coming from the right rear of the...
  9. New pads for Brembos

I'd say you lose just a little bit of initial bite, but nothing that dramatically changes the driving characteristics of the car. If anything, it makes driving in stop-and-go traffic easier. Otherwise, I see no difference, other than my wheels not being covered in brake dust after two days.
  10. What are the best street brake pads?

I'll second the Z26. I've noticed no difference between them and the stock pads for daily driving, other than much less brake dust. The fact that they're almost a third of the price of the OEM pads is just icing on the cake.
  11. Oil-Change shop says Napa Gold 7502 Filter did not fit.

This. My local Walmart keeps the FL-500S in stock. Easy peasy.
  12. Will my mustang drop more than newer mustangs?

As the others have said, there shouldn't be any difference between your car and a newer one with less miles, unless you have other undiagnosed suspension issues (bad bushings, ball joints, etc.). Are you planning on changing struts and shocks at the same time? I'd highly recommend it since...
  13. Help Needed: Loose Steering After Curb Hit on 2022 Mustang GT

Others here have had similar issues and replacing the lower steering shaft solved them. I have similar symptoms from a recent hydroplaning incident, and plan on doing the same...
  14. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Finally installed my BMR SP084 handling front springs and Ford Performance track shock and strut kit. Removed SP081 front springs, and already had SP088 springs in the rear. I love the stiffer front rate, and it matches much better to the rears now. The shocks/struts were a night and day...
  15. Anyone tried these Adler Speed Coilovers?

I would suggest that you'd be better off with a quality aftermarket lowering spring, even on stock shocks and struts for now than you would be on no-name Ebay coilovers. Take a look here for a thread all about afermarket lowering springs, rates, and drop amounts...
  16. Need to start budget for 2024 summer tires

For summer tires, you can't go wrong with the Michelin Pilot PS4S or Continental Extreme Contact Sport. The Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is also a good summer tire for a little less than the Michelin or Conti. Check out Tire Rack for good tire reviews. Before we can recommend sizes, you'll need...
  17. Charging system problem.

I think what people are saying is that the car will go into battery saver or 'deep sleep' mode after it's been sitting regardless of battery voltage. If you don't use the car for 14 days, or other conditions meet certain parameters, the car will go to sleep. It doesn't know it's on a trickle...
  18. Front brake pads for 2021 GT

I know your mind is already made up about going with the OEM pads, but I'd highly recommend at least looking into the PowerStop Z26 pads. They're highly regarded around here, less expensive, and perform just like stock but without the obnoxious brake dust.
  19. Why is trying to decide on tires for my Saleen so difficult?

What's your budget? What do you have now? What do you like/dislike about them? Most will argue that the 'best' tire would be one of Michelin's offerings, either the PS4S or AS4, depending on whether you want a summer or all season tire. Continental also has great offerings that are slightly...
  20. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Was an idiot and drove in the rain with nearly bald rear tires yesterday. I hit some standing water and took a nice spin across 3 lanes of traffic. Luckily, I missed all vehicles and guard rails, ending up stopped facing into traffic. Drove the rest of the way home like a grandma. That's the...
