Savage Geese is the one of the best channels on youtube. Correct balance of fluff/technical plus they have a track close by put the cars under duress. Also, they have a pro driver doing the testing. Nice.

Not a good showing for the GTD if I’m being honest. GTD just too heavy…

Thanks for posting the clip, Tob and IF I were in the market for only street driving, I think I would go with the 'Vette mainly due to the price delta on the GTD. If they were the same price, I would absolutely choose the GTD hands down. As for the German entry, not even in the running for me as I have never liked the looks or the sound.

FWIW, I’ve seen a few things on the ole interwebs indicating ADM’s on the ZR1 as high as $150k-$200k. That would put the ZR1 price pretty close to GTD depending on GTD options. Granted, it’s the worldwide web so whether it’s actually true or not is a whole other debate. MSRP to MSRP, it’s not close as you mention.

FYI our company owner asked me to negotiate a new ZR1 for him, and he could have bought a ZR1 with the ADM less than a third of what you posted. Not saying that there aren’t some people paying that… but the average was $50K-$80K ADM depending on color and options. I had one dealer offering to place the order at $15K over but they didn’t have any actual inventory at the time, so lead time was an issue. I advised my boss to pass for now, knowing the ADM will go away completely in the next 18 months or so just like it did on all the previous C8 versions prior to this. And since he was itching for a manual transmission anyway, he ended up ordering a new GT3. Not my jam but i understood where he was coming from.

I always felt that way until...

George from MGW shifters is undoubtedly a best friend of mine. I concede, he is more of a ball buster than I. He has owned just about everything you could imagine that has 4 wheels and goes fast. I've had the opportunity to experience a number of them in the years I've known him. He's had a few of Porsche's finest and the GT3 he had last year blew me away. It was a much better car than any Ford produced vehicle I've ever owned. To deny that but to continue to love my '20 is like saying "while I appreciate the opportunity to bang hot cheerleaders for life, I'll continue to roll with the thicc, motorboatable ladies instead." :)
