Just looked and it’s not on the QA1 website anymore. That’s too bad as 99% of the feedback on that driveshaft was very good.

LMR used to sell them, just checked and not only is the QA1 not listed, there is no driveshaft for a 10R80 available, just a 15-17 manual, 15-17 6R80, and a GT350/mach 1 manual

Doesn’t Steeda sell one for the 10R80 in aluminum, which is still a huge improvement over the factory DS?

Yea I’m pretty bummed out , Was looking to buy one .. I know DSS makes a carbon fiber one also, but have read some bad reviews on them for what that’s worth.

I have a Gulf Coast carbon ds as well.
Did QA1 have some issues? Or are they just not building drive shafts anymore?

I haven’t heard anything about them having issues . it’s odd they would stop producing them ,especially seeing how much people raved about them..

Im not sure. This was news to me until i read it this morning. I went with GC cause it was a little less $ and seemed like they do a good job with balancing and use good quality ends.

That really sucks as it really is a phenomenal driveshaft. I am so happy to have acquired mine when I had the chance.

Interesting development. I had to return a QA1 CF driveshaft, not because of its quality (which is exceptional) but because of system vibration issues that are especially challenging with the 10R80. CV joints on both ends of the carbon fiber driveshaft (or any one-piece driveshaft) might have helped but the resonant frequency issues with the 10R80 were magnified above 80mph and going back to the OEM 2-piece design was the simple solution. Ford even has unique vibration issues with the 10R80 and "clocking" the driveshafts at final assembly is more critical than manual transmission models. If that's not good enough, they even resort to field service warranty band-aids, on rare occasions, with hose clamps on perfectly balanced driveshafts to dial-in the system balancing issues.

I have been following the driveshaft threads for a while and nobody has posted the weight of the stock A10 driveshaft compared to any other driveshaft. Does anyone have any weights and better yet a dyno sheet if it improved torque to the rear wheels?
