I’d recommend you stay with your current exhaust tubing size.
I’m unsure what you have before and after the MF X ?
Currently running kooks LT headers w/ off roads pipes, after MF X is stock active exhaust.
sorry to high jack thread… @Adr2600

If you’re keeping the stock axle back go 2.5” for connection points simplicity.
if you have plans on doing 3” axle back go 3.0”
Jones resonator case is the same size regardless.

I have a Switchfire for sale, hardly used. I'm in Indy.
I’m in Illinois, how many miles, what made you take it off?

It's for a friend. He has only 3k miles on his car, and the SW has not been on it the whole time.

Has it seen any winter weather at all?

Haha, certainly not. He spends the winters modding his car. It's over 1kHP now.
Maybe we should DM then 👀

It seems like you've already moved on from the Ford Performance x-pipe. I took one to my performance shop and they were reluctant to install it, claiming the fitment and included clamps were really bad. I ended up returning it and going with the Rousch one instead. It sounds great and was the same price as the FP ($250).

I am currently running kooks into the switch fire into the factory active system.

I like the sound and get complements all the time. It does have a bit of a bark around 2700-3000 rpm anytime the skinny pedal is more than 50%. I think this is due to the stupidly small butt connection Ford used for the factory resonator. Causes flow turbulence and sound waves to go crazy in that small 2.25” section.

That is my only dislike.

ATM I have some 3” vbands that I plan to put in to eliminate this issue into the switch fire. I have about $65 in parts and a few hours with a tig should get that fixed.

I have also thought about the GT500 Borla system but I fear the 3” tubing all the way will make it louder than I’d like.

Either way good luck!!!

I have the Steeda X and for some reason have been wanting to “change it up” with the Switchfire. Anyone have a video of both being compared? YouTube search was useless lol
