GT350 intake with GT500 airbox / cover?

So If I buy the GT500 airbox do I need the foam or is it a direct fit and seal?

Post # 121 in this thread answers your question. I even gave the part number of the foam to use.

I removed the black bolts and transferred the other metal clips from my oem airbox, now looks like it could be stock.

Yes, when my new air filter shows up I am planning to fix the foam area.

Hmmm, mine looked like his. Not sure how you could fold it to where it fits perfectly inside

I replaced my air filter and put more insulation under the lid so it may look open but it is not now.

That's normal for 22 and 23 mach 1's, they changed the intake slightly and that was one of the changes. Moved the maf to the other side and lengthened the wire. Probably from the carbon trap being in the way or something.

Sorry it took so long. My foam piece is inside the airbox. And the slot still wraps around a frame member. Here are some pictures. Let me know if this works, and I have a 2017, which may be different than your mach1.
