  1. Keep stock flywheel with new clutch?

If I'm reading between the lines here a bit, I'd wonder if the throttle follower/rev hang settings need optimized after a dramatic change to rotating weight. That could be what people "dont like" about a lighter rotating assembly, it can make shifting and clutch engagement more clunky. Just a...
  2. Alignment after many upgrades

So you are running the lower arms with the extended ball joints and you are NOT running the bump steer kit, you 100% have a mismatched combo. You have to run none or both, you can't run just the arms and no bump steer kit. Your new control arms and your tie rods are now swinging in different...
  3. Tear in Frame

    2016 for reference here
  4. Alignment after many upgrades

I know that is a lot of money, but if you look closely, all of the pieces are machined to be perfectly square. These aren't just pieces of extruded aluminum with holes drilled. I have the Gen 4 kit which was half that and it's been just fine.
  5. Alignment after many upgrades

I'm using the Gen 4 pro kit with a few add-ons like the steering wheel holder etc. I've had it for a few years now and it's been excellent every time. I've done lots of string alignments as well, and I get similar results using this kit. My Mustang goes straight as an arrow, even over bumps...
  6. Alignment after many upgrades

@CO5OTE, if you installed all that stuff yourself, you have the ability to do your own alignments... I've been doing all my own for years and did my Mustang after I threw the Steeda catalog at it like you did. https://quicktrickalignment.com/product-category/diy-auto-enthusiast/ Did you...
  7. Need Help Diagnosing Transmission Problems (MT-82)

A failed pilot bearing can also drag on the input shaft and cause similar condition. if someone has put a clutch in the car before and they were rough putting the trans in, the pilot bearing could be wasted and dragging the input shaft.
  8. GT350 intake with GT500 airbox / cover?

@Paul McWhiskey Now that spring has sprung, I've gotten more miles on the car and more commutes to work etc. To my surprise, the 2-3 degree delta over ambient temp has stayed. I'd say it's an honest 50/50 split between 2 or 3 degrees over ambient, which it would NEVER achieve before ever...
  9. intake manifolds

Thanks. I started with PP2, but wanted to try something new so I got the intake and air box both from Levittown. I have HP Tuners and was able to reflash the car to Ford's PP3 tune but I set the rev limiter to 7900, I plan to shift at 7800. The Gen 2 Coyote has the same valve springs and...
  10. intake manifolds

The intake manifold looks stock but that looks like a GT350 "hot" air intake tube and filter housing. You may have a GT350 throttle body and the PP2 programming. Can you post a closer pic of the throttle body?
  11. intake manifolds

You are correct, a GT350 intake will run fine on a Ford Performance PP2 tune. Yes a GT350 intake with a stock throttle body will run on a factory tune as far as I know. When you use a GT350 intake with a stock or PP2 tune, the big miss is not utilizing the increased redline. (@EFI I assume...
  12. intake manifolds

This is a GT350 intake manifold with a GT350 intake tube and a GT500 air box. This is on my 2016 GT.
  13. intake manifolds

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/2016-gt-6m-adding-gt350-intake.195664/#post-3921661 Go here and see post #10. I actually post the differences between PP2 and PP3 tunes. It's manifold volume, rev limit and IPC adjustment.
  14. Datalog tune file help (need opinions)

There is way too much missing information here, no one that knows anything is going to chime in. You lost them at "had engine problems after the tune". That means you're trying to tune a car that has something else wrong (which never works), or that your cut-rate budget tuner friend doesn't...
  15. Radiator fan tune

You are correct here and normally I wouldn't come and partake of the ignorance by adding to it with my posts LOL. In this case I was trying to salvage what's here with some actual context and info. I trust that some forum users are still able to pay attention to detail and realize that some of...
  16. Radiator fan tune

In the 80s and 90s on the early OBD1 EFI setups running the coolant temp at 160 instead of 195 did net gains in many cases. It usually added fuel, which in some cases was helpful, but more importantly it allowed more aggressive ignition timing advance. Lower coolant temp was less likely to...
  17. Radiator fan tune

For those that are actually looking for accurate info, here is some. This is a screen shot of a factory tune on an '16 GT. The graph shows desired fan speed (as a %). Vertical axis is ambient temp, horizontal axis is engine coolant temp. The only way I know of to change this is to...
  18. 2016 GT, what else would you reccomend while I upgrade suspension.

I have the red bushings from @Steeda and there was no noticeable gain in diff noise in the inside of the car.
  19. 2016 GT, what else would you reccomend while I upgrade suspension.

@SBR70.3 is correct. I'd look at rear lower control arm bushings, diff bushings and an IRS lockout kit. I have all @Steeda parts on my car and they've been fantastic.
  20. 2016 GT 6m adding GT350 intake

This is a list of differences between PP2 and PP3 tunes. I have both raw tunes, I swapped a GT350 intake onto my car and updated the tune. The Independant Plausibility Check (IPC) is a system for checking the electronic throttle operation and in the event that the engine is delivering more...
