Ah yes I see. I planned to do fixed length chains on the front. That way all I have to do is strap the rear tight.
that's a good idea! probably save on time also. I was considering buying those chain adapters that use the factory chassis holes but ended up just going straps. its going to take some dialing in but it'll get there.

Major update.
Belt wasn’t working.

so went to a v30 94c and a supercharger store gear drive.

pretty sure everyone interested in this build now has me on Facebook were i update mostly. But I figured since no one has a v30 on this forum. I would post up some pictures.

I’m also trying to sell my v7 ysib head unit

next is to re gear the blower for all the blower speed and I’m going to order a 2.05 first close ration gear set for the 400 or maybe find a complete unit to replace my current trans over the winter. I also want to verify the intercooler will work and nothing gets hot in the street. Eventually I want to either go a2w or maybe motech and eliminate the maf so I don’t need a intercooler and can make the switch the methonal when racing.

Such a badass build! What's next to get this to the track.

Glad to see the progress, finally started working on mine, slow but steady.

Interested in the trans when you do it. I got the stock gear set for now, but if I get everything up and running thought the 2.1 might help a little with centri blower and keeping the rpms close. However, I got a ton of crap to get right first before I spend anymore money on the car.

My 2.05 set was from Coan. Not a stocking item but they can make it in just a few days. Do you have a good trans shop? If not, Extreme Automatics in Cincinnati is awesome. $500 freshen ups for life.

The 2.05 helped my setup dramatically over the 2.43 and like you said the ratios are closer.

I was planning to use the foam gear set unless I come across a good deal for a different case unit.

I’ve been doing to refreshing myself. Already put clutches in it because I went to change the pump restriction and found some clutches that were towards the end of their life.

My 2.05 set was from Coan. Not a stocking item but they can make it in just a few days. Do you have a good trans shop? If not, Extreme Automatics in Cincinnati is awesome. $500 freshen ups for life.

I thought about doing a pg but the rpm split between the gears along with needing an even looser converter to keep it up into the power band would make it even worse on the street.

Jesus that's a sweet setup ! Maybe it's PG time, especially if you need higher ratios with the TH400.

The issue with PG is that 1st Gear is either 1.76 or 1.82. Centri won't have enough nuts to leave with those unless nitrous is used. And if u change the gearset, u might as well change the th400 since he already has it. This setup will be faster with a 3spd vs 2 spd.

secured a 2.10 close ratio coan gear set so this will be going into the transmission this winter along with a engine freshen up/health check.

2.15 gear set for the supercharger drive gear case and ID1700's are on the shelf to be installed once the engine is refreshed. Hoping for solid 25psi of boost. Should be exactly what I need in my life.
