I just had my mustang ecoboost, gear change to 3.73. 350 half shafts upgrade , axle seals , new wheel bearings and steeda subframe kit installed... Now as soon as my mechanic did that. I now can't change my driving selection or my traction control out of advanced trac , abs light is on too and passengers seat airbag light is on too. He said he disconnected the battery to see if these things would go away. I think he opened a can of worms. Does anyone have any help for me? Thank you!

He might have damaged a wheel sensor or forgot to plug it back in?

Would this make a hill assist , steering assist problem among other things too? Thank you for your time and assistance

I'm sorry I just replaced my battery 2 months ago. There shouldn't be a problem with the battery... That is what your thread was insinuating. K4xd said it would be a wheel sensor.
Then I responded with the question could the wheel sensor cause the steering assist and hill assist among other traction things to go wrong. My mechanic told be he pulled the sensor to Che k if it was that but still got the same reading... ???

My mechanic just changed the wheel bearings with the axles and the gears and the knuckle bearings ( all for possible handling issue) so it won't be a wheel bearing right? It would be the wheel sensor that reads 158 mph even not moving... some how he says that's not the problem.

That is your problem It should read the actual speed the car is going.

Yes if a wheel sensor goes bad all kinds of warnings and lights come on.
All those systems use all 4 wheel speed sensors to work, so if one or more read bad it shuts off these systems.

Anytime you get the Christmas tree but the car still runs normal, the first thing to check is the wheel speed sensors. Forscan can display each individually plus VSS. Anyone modding their car should have access to Forscan with how cheap it is to just get an adapter.

You just had the rear diff gear ratio changed - did your mechanic change logic to compensate for the gear change? These cars are all tied together by modules and programmed logic. That’s most likely your issue….

I ran into this but it doesn't throw that many lights on a 15-17. You're correct that the PCM needs to be programmed for the new rear axle ratio or else the car will limp mode.

On my 17 I changed rear gears and nothing had to be programmed. Everything works and the car learned the gear swap. It automatically changed the ratio. Same thing with the battery, it learned itself that I put a larger AGM battery in it.

OP said one wheel sensor is reading 158 MPH while stopped. That is his problem. He may have other problems too but that sensor needs to be fixed.
