This has been asked before but the answers did not fix my problem. This happened recently when my speakers stopped working. So I disconnected the battery and let the system reset. Fixed that problem but then had a new one. The temp is stuck at 50. And the clock never moves forward. When I turn on the car it starts at the correct time. But never changes. I've reset the radio and drove at hwy speeds for a while. Nothing works. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Car battery is fine. I had it checked at O'Reilly autoparts. And no codes

How old is the battery? Many times the battery will test good on a meter but be weak enough the car does not like it.

When I had it checked. I think it said 3 years. I will double check that

Just to update. The radio clock and temp started working the other morning. I didn't do anything. It's a mystery problem. Saved me a battery. If it happens again I'll change the battery. Thanks everyone for the responses

Did you go for a nice drive? I'd suspect you simply got a full charge into the battery.

Before you run off and waste money on a battery, do a voltage drop test during start. Measure the voltage across the battery terminals while cranking the engine with the gas pedal mashed to the floor. It'll dry crank without start. If the voltage doesn't get much below about 10 volts the battery is okay. If it drops down close to 9 or lower the battery has some problems.

I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the OP doesn't drive the car much, and when he does drive it, it's not long enough to fully charge the battery.

Since the symptoms mysteriously disappeared, I'd bet that he finally got it out for a nice long drive, and that's all it needed.

It's my daily driver. My work is 45 minutes to an hour 1 way. I like blueberry dougnuts fyi. When all this started a couple of weeks ago, I put the battery on a slow charge all night. For some reason disconnecting the battery is when this started. Before that no issues.

You can charge the battery without unhooking it
