Installed mine on Friday and then took a 250 mile road trip this weekend. Finnish quality of the Steeda H-pipe is impeccable. The sound quality is nearly identical to stock with slightly more burble. Sound volume?... a little bit louder; although I'm kinda disappointed because I expected it to be more aggressive. My impression is that its not a drastic change; but definitely still a few notches louder. Kinda wondering if I would have preferred the X-pipe instead? IDK. All that said though it was worth the money and I have no regrets.

Steeda h and x-pipes are reasonably priced. Run the h for a while and then buy the x to try and make a decision which of the two you like best and sell the other. Did you upgrade your exhaust clamps when you installed the h-pipe?

I used the clamps in the box. Was actually thinking about waiting a bit, trying the X, then selling whichever. Will be a while before I can cough up another $300 though. I have the feeling that H is still gonna be my answer.

we (forum) castigated Steeda a couple years ago for their total junk clamps. They supposedly revised that SKU (or now charge extra) for items you can get from Amazon.

pity you didn't take sound measurements before and after.

I put the Steeda H on my '22 GT and the shop welded it. Didn't use anyone's clamps. Muffler shop said this will guarantee no leak.

They charge extra for the better clamps

Their Black Friday sale is usually the best price of the year for their resonator deletes. I’m still kicking myself for not buying both when I bought my H pipe. Basically would’ve been a 2 for 1 at the Black Friday prices. I may still buy the X but my H is welded on. Shop said the stock clamps weren’t worth using.

So if you want to try the X, the Black Friday price is worth waiting for.

And then when you decide you want to remove that factory driveshaft...
Just take the whole exhaust down. No different than the stock system

I’ve had an X and and H on both the Mach and the 2018 GT and preferred the H. In both cases the X seemed to actually be a little quieter than stock in a certain upper RPM band, and a little raspier. Have also tried the Magnaflow resonated X on the GT and took it off after the first test drive - no different than than stock resonator. BTW the stock resonator is just perforated straight pipes surrounded by insulation, no connection between the two sides.

And the Stock Resonator has little or no restriction....it's just heavier than the replacements spoken of!!
The OEM resonator is restricted to less than 2” on the outlet end. There’s a few threads here showing the restriction.

And as Steeda said ... the clamps that we provided with the original kits are more than durable enough - yes, you have the option to purchase updated clamps, but the clamps that are provided are good.

Been running the H-Pipe on my Mustang for 4-years with the original clamps & 0 issues.
