I did another data log run for Wengerd. It was suppose to be WOT to 7k, but these tires on concrete highway, absolutely hooked after maybe one spin going 70. Before I new it I shifted at way over 7k. It caught me by surprise to say the least. I highly recommend these tires for Boosted cars on the street. Without a doubt.

Yeah I run them when I’m on the street with my 1059 WHP Camaro (also a Whipple car). I really can’t stand drag radials on the street so the R888R fits the bill. Very stable and surprisingly good traction under an onslaught of torque. They’re loud but the exhaust is louder…so no problem lol 😂

Of the ride no. As far as car pics it's raining again but hope to get some next week.
It’s great to see that my car is not the only one made of sugar !!! Remember sugar melts in the rain !!! Enjoy my friend spring has arrived

I hear you. Post pics of your ride? I looked at your profile and didn't see specs?

Nice car. I feel the same way about Drag slicks for the street. These seem to hit a Happy medium even with the humm coming from them. Your Camaro must plant you hard into your seat.

I just switched to Nitto 555 G2's (305-35-20) from Mickey Thompson ET Drag Radials and traction is an issue (I knew it would be). My Procharger D1-X doesn't blow the tires off down low since the Centri blowers don't make a ton of torque down low. I have to roll into it, a kickdown from the 10R80 I can no longer do. My car makes 800 to the wheels. I may get another set of rims and put the Mickey's back on them.

You needed NT555R2… not the G2.

Wasn't a fan, the Mickey's were actually better. Time to make a drag pack with Mickey's, I have fronts already. The G2's are my normal tire. Not like I drive anywhere, it's a 2020 with 6,700 miles.

Could be worse, my 2019 has only 1800 miles!

Stick car? Third gear I assume? My Nitto 555R2 drag radials can hold third at WOT no problem. They are starting to get pretty worn out, so debating what my next set will be.

What size 555r2 did you try op? I ask because there is no way I would drive on normal tires unless I was roadtripping and lowered my boost waaaaay down. 555g2 are trash for traction better off with a Michelin pilot sport 4s or equivalent. My car will only see drag radials or slicks from now on. My experience with the toyos was that they were to noisy and also they are dangerous to drive in the rain, not that I will drive when it's raining but nitto r2s are close to a regular tire in the rain. I'm on 16psi e85 p1x and can use 2nd gear with a little spin at the top but once the tires have temp in them they hold well. I replace the rears after a year or so as the traction falls off with the heat cycles.

Good to hear Doug! The 888s will be on my list when my ET Streets wear out. My ETs have excellent traction but I really don’t enjoy them on even slightly aggressive turns. Granted I know the ETs are not meant to be great in turns, I was spoiled by the cornering of my PS4s but they couldn’t hold my power when boost came on unfortunately.
