"The procharger is just too tamed"

Could you elaborate on this? I have the HO kit w/PIx and it is far from tame.

As SolarFlare said, pulley down, get a good tune, save a crap ton of $$$, and enjoy an amazing supercharged car. You could put the money you don't spend on the Whipple towards a ported mani, long tube headers, suspension goodies, etc.
What I mean is the down low torq power. Its tamed up untill you get to the higher rpms. I cant say much being my 1st supercharged (Non daily driver) and no other FI setup to compare it too. I am tuned by Wengered and very happy.

My bro, hope all is well. Thanks for the input. Will I need to change fuel such as E85 for this? What is your thought on a wastegate setup?
All good. In my opinion a wastegate is a waste of money in 99% of cases. Specially in your case with a small head unit. You can probably get away with a 4.0 pulley on 93oct with a p1sc. What pulley size is on now?

Your prob the 2cnd to say the same. Thats what I am looking for also. Not wanting to go E85 and change out my fuel system.. I jave brand new fic 1000 inj also.
I bought the 1050 injectors with my stage 2 just in case I wasn't going through enough rear tires and have to move up to E85. Lol. I will start my tear down this week and start with replacing timing chains, sprockets, hurricane oil pump assembly etc. Then go from their. Keep us posted on your FI. The Coyote loves boost so their really isn't a bad decision on the. It comes down to what exactly are you wanting from your FI. And yes, as you can see, their are Cheerleaders for every one of them. Good Luck

bro slap slap at least a 4.25 on it and see if it improves more to your liking
Yea maybe go with the griptec. Besides, I dont beat on the car and live at the 7800 rpms 😆🤦‍♂️ Ill look into this. You think Ill need a retune?

If you're not willing to go E85, I see absolutely zero reason to swap out.
Keep in mind, assuming money isnt an issue, I am not looking for more power just a different setup. Im more of a street driver looking for that crazy hit versus the up top high rpms.. I prefer it down low. I dont like beating on the car and to really feel that Centri you need get up to that 7k plus. 😅

dont need a griptec just a plain standard 8rib 4.0,4.13 or 4.25 whatever your tuner says should work. And correct belt.Should not need a retune just double check fueling

PD blowers down low are a lot of fun. The Coyote is notorious for being a little lacking in the low end torque department. The PD blower makes up for that quite a bit. Those guys that are saying you are going to have serious traction issues MIGHT be right if you don't have the ability to modulate the gas pedal. If you don't treat it like an on/off switch, you can have a SHIT TON of fun with a Gen V Whipple.

All of that being said, if you pulley down, and it shifts the torque curve on the centri, you may save yourself $10k.

It will put you in your seat from idle. Only thing better than an old school high compression big block is a PD blower.

If you're staying on pump gas, just pulley down, if you run into issues on the top end, add a release valve. (i.e. set it up to run 15 psi, but limit it to 12, that way it'll give you more sauce down low).

The reality is that unless you're lugging the car, just about any blower is going to provide more torque than the car can handle in the first couple of gears. The top gears don't provide enough multiplication to overwhelm the traction and the middle gears, if you're in proper rpm range will give you all the sauce you need.

The PD system has the advantage of better cooling with an air-water-air setup, but also is slightly less efficient. The PD system is going to be significantly heavier on the front end. Not only is the blower heavier, the extra fluids add to the weight.

At pump gas power levels you can go with just about any system and have fun and be happy.

The ONLY scenario where a PD blower will be different is at low(er) RPM in mid range gears.

So if you're the type of person that likes to mash the go pedal vs change gears, then PD is something to consider, but A) Lugging the motor isn't the healthiest thing in the world and B) Some people like the pedestrian nature of a turbo or centri down low and it only makes steam once you put your foot to it and get to proper gear/rpm.

My car made stupid, asinine levels of torque and because I like to run 30 series performance tires on the street, I literally had to tell the tuner to back it down, otherwise the car was on roller skates at anything less than 90 mph. Spinnin' ain't winnin.

Both blower systems will make more torque than a typical mustang chassis/tire setup can handle on the street. You just have to set them up properly. You can do it without changing the entire blower setup.

Grab the lowest pulley you can run without belt slip and put a valve on it to limit it to 12 lbs and be done with it.

His P1-SC is not the same as your P1-X. Nothing wrong with the -sc at all, but IMO if he had started with a P1-X he’d never have contemplated this swap in the first place 😉
