Makes sense to me. The C3 frame was much stronger.Fun fact: the Corvette was the chassis used for Michael Keaton’s Batmobile (1989). It was actually a C3 chassis though, not a C4. It was at the Corvette Museum when we were there this summer

And C3 aerodynamics were absolute @$$ so they didn't sacrifice anything with the Batmobile body.
