Only 10pct improvement thru 4 generations. And 2pct ish for gen3 to 4 is just measurement error.

Anyone buying because "more power" is just silly. So much for all that extra complexity of dual TB, Ford. Where is the benefit in this cost equation?

Interesting. The Gen 3 has more power everywhere below 6500 rpm. A flatter high rpm hp curve, potentially another reason why even the 500 hp dark horse isn’t trapping any quicker than a 2018 M6 despite “40” more hp.

They pull a ton of weight out, do all the little tricks, run a number to sell parts. It happens every year with all the Mustang "Players". People buy parts from the company with the quickest time... This S650 is no different than an S550 at this point.

Parts alone - 13600 bucksaroos on that no tune 11.2 run.
That's not including shipping, or labour if you have a shop
install those parts.

And around a 450lb weight drop.

I figured there had to be some serious weight reduction done to the car. They said “and some other stuff” which included a serious diet, lol.

Ford had to do it to get the flow up due to those stupid traps. They were a huge restrictions on the Mach 1s. Not so much when you have dual intakes. Twice the surface area, twice the airflow

I‘m still finding this carbon trap thing almost too easy to be real, but then I watch Tony’s dyno runs and you gotta believe what you see in front of your face.

Assuming the carbon trap filters are the same as ‘22-‘23, adding the dual intake with twin carbon traps cuts the pressure drop in half through those filters. That leads to the increase flow he was talking about.
