I never said it would be mid engine'd. I said more than once that it would utilize a CF driveshaft (hint, hint). This is not the mid-engine Mustang referred to in the article. This isn't a mid-engine car. The article clearly stated the mid-engined Mustang would NOT be based on the S650 platform, and that is.
The article can talk about mid engine cars all day, whatevs. The upcoming GT3 racecar is front engined. Not mid.
If Ford actually wants to race their GT3 in the LeMans series, they have to build 300 road-going versions. Those will be front engined, just like the race car. It would have to be, as LeMans GT3 Mustangs have to be based on the S650 platform. The article made it very clear that the mid-engine car will not be.
It is not clickbait. And there's a reason why it looks like the Multimatic GT3 race variant...Clickbait. That looks like the GT3 car which is built by multimatic I believe.
Finally. Some logic.gt3 wont be mid engine
Unlike the Mustang road car, the Mustang GT3 uses a rear transaxle gearbox, which Rushbrook said is primarily to help even out weight distribution. This might also allow Ford to move the V-8 further back in the chassis than in the street car,
It wasn't long ago and the word was "more than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS" which started at around $225,000. This latest surge and announcement has it starting at 300k. Loaded up with everything I cannot imagine what the ceiling will be.
I assure you that nothing on this car is tacked on.Not questioning Epiphany's predictions as for sure he's more reliable than some clickbait internet site, but what are the side scoops for ? Tacked on to mislead ? They thought they look good (like some weird people on this forum that would tack them on to their front engined cars) ?
Loved the Mustang Probe GTP!![]()
Seeing as Ford is giving the S650 some Fox Mustang cues-they are digging up this racer from the 80's: adding airbags, stability control with a twin turbo Coyote V8 and call it a day!
