Curious do you check your oil regularly every 1K miles specially when new? Sounds like oil has been low for a while, how often within the 5K Miles did you check your oil level?
Don’t regularly check the oil lmao, but probably should have.

8 Qt sump, 3-4 qts low…… yeah you wiped out the bearings.
Ya just don’t know how the oil got out. 4 quarts in 5k miles is a lot to burn. And it does look like there is a decent amount of oil on the steering shaft. Don’t see any on the filter or drain plug.

You’re running long tubes right. That would mean oil should’ve been burnt onto the headers if oil is on the steering shaft ?

Are you running the OEM designed PCV system or a modified version ?

I meant steering rack. And yes headers but they have header wrap. And ya pcv system is all stock.

Lund. 167 (cars been 180 and should have hit 170+ easily). E85. Cylinder head temps just hit 225 when I let off
Uh... I've seen wife's F150 hit easily over 225 plenty and even up in the 240s...
I know I have an overheat condition and I'm trying to diagnose it, but that doesn't seem THAT high does it?

In normal driving yes that is pretty hot. Just cruising and light acceleration that car shouldn’t really go above 205. Even during AZ summer car never got that hot if I wasn’t flooring it. When I went 180 the car didn’t even hit 240

I check my oil every 500 miles and add at least 2-3 quarts per 3k miles. 4 in 5k isnt a lot to burn tbh.

Question;
Doesn't the Coyote have a low oil level sensor.
Not mine atleast. Just oil pressure. But no check engine lights for oil or anything. Only got a check engine for the vct being too advanced on one cam and misfire codes.

No oil level low limit switch on the side of your oil pan ?
Is that a PP1 thing only ?

Are your cars forced induction? Even if they are seems like excessive oil consumption. My 2018 GT gets oil change every 3k miles. Have 18k miles and never used any oil. It is NA and that makes a difference. But even FI should not be using 3 4 qt in 5k miles.
Hope you find the damage to your engine does not cost a lot of $.
