I got the recall but I didn’t have any of the symptoms.

I can’t tell any difference before or after (sadly no extra bhp … lol).

The tech was nice enough to double check with me I defo wanted it doing because if I had a tune, it would get wiped … (thinking of you and your upcoming mods)

I'm guessing it would undo all the stuff from Wengerd (when I get around to receiving/fitting the Vortech kit)? Just had to pay UPS some lovely import duty earlier on.

If I RECALL (see what I did there ), this was the issue with backup cam while shifting into or out of reverse. I didn't have an issue with it and noticed no change to my car after they'd done it either, luckily.

Put it on the dyno finally after my Hellion install a few weeks ago. Still on the base tune from PBD, which was really rich, but made 700 at 7psi. Waiting on their revision still.

PCM recall done

Having nice day with no shitty roads and no cleaning to do afterwards is a bonus

Following up on its service I decided to empty the catch can :

It’s doing about 0.8 to 0.9ml per 100 miles (about 1.5oz per 5000 miles to give a reference for the USA guys).

I don’t go easy on it and they are mostly fun miles - it’s a second car and it doesn’t sit on the freeway in sixth with cruise on

Although I have the master tech work on it and he’s a very conscientious guy (who really seems to like and be interested in the car), it does no harm to double check :

I’ve always struggled with the strut brace and dipstick position, but by chance I dropped on the perfect method (for me) - dipstick in from the front of the strut bar, whilst my right hand at the back of the strut bar does the work pushing it down the tube (no pushing with the left ‘guide hand’ which just stops it contacting the brace or engine cover) :

It made what I had always found a fiddly job to be very easy - and I tried it a few times to make sure it wasn’t a fluke …
