What's the benefit of those?
@ 54,000 I needed new wheel bearings. Knuckles have spherical bearings for lower control arms. More of a convenience, less cussing and swearing trying to press in toe link bearings.

Dropped her off at the body shop to fix the fender & door. Old man backed up into me a month ago and just now able to get her fixed. I hate leaving her in someone else’s hands, but this is work for a pro. Hopefully she will be better than new when I get her back in a couple weeks.

I bought a stock knuckle and shock and threw it on the car to be able to drop it (replaces this)

Had a bad day at the track a few weeks ago.

Geez - at least you were ok.... was it rolled?

So what unfolded at the track that resulted in the bad day as seen by those images?

Thank you! You mean that antique Dodge?
Yes sir. Viper is the only dodge product i would want at this point. Hand built by a small handfull of people. Not ran down the assembly line. My last car was a scat pack charger. It was a horror story between the dealers and FCA. Bad enough i swore i will never buy another.

Hey Cobra Jet, surprisingly it wasn't rolled lol. More of a head on driver side oriented crash to the wall that finished with a side swipe. Only the knee airbag went off. The car still runs, but I have a LONG road ahead of me to get it where it was.

How do you like them so far?
I went thru some water and then tried to get em loose and they didnt, so thats a good sign. Of course after two weeks its stopped flooding, so have to wait for more rain to get a good idea.

What should have been an easy day turned into one of those "I'll just do this..." and "oh and I suppose I can do this...". 😂

So I had to take the rear drivers side wheel off and drop it in at the local tyre shop as it had been losing about 4psi a week. Couldn't see anything obvious or hear anything so guess it was the valve at fault when the car was being driven - sure enough it was.

Anywho! Whilst I was at home looking at the car I thought what can I get on with.

The brake discs look finished to me. They are grooved and have a lip on the outer edge.

I can't afford to replace front and rears (inc. pads) since purchasing the Vortech kit. Would I be OK just replacing the rear discs and pads and keep the front stock? Or would I upset the braking bias too much? I plan to fit the EBC USR slotted rotors with their Bluestuff NDX track pads and then upgrade the fronts to match at a later date. What do we think? Would I be OK? 🤔

I then gave everything a rub down including the face on the disc which was binding to the back of the alloy wheels.

Before shot.

Drivers side and Passenger side as of now.

Not 100% perfect job, but at least i can see all the cables, clean spring, and pipes now. I also gave all the bolts, joints, handbrake spring, a good spray with some penetrating oil.

Interestingly I also found two holes where the seam doesn't appear to have been sealed properly. Not sure if others have these holes or if I'm just unlucky? I filled them with an epoxy putty and then applied a quick coat of black hammerite.

And I then tackled the exhaust tips. Used the Mercury Extreme Metal Polish and some Extra Fine Steel Wool. Came up alright. :)

Then finally, washed all the wheels and refitted. Man I do like the sparkle in it. 😁

Yeah I have all that already.
I was primed to hear you say that the knuckles were to accept rear brembos.
